eBay gift card refund

I used a eBay $500 gift card on the 14/4/ 2022 and the transaction failed because of some technical issue with the eBay payment system, and I'm still waiting for the refund. eBay customer service told me that it would take up to 15days, but it didn't happen, I contacted them again and I was told I was misled, that the refund could take up to 25days, I contacted customer service on the 25th day and I was told that the refund would be done by the end of the day, it didn't happen. I contacted them the following day and they told me that they didn't know what happened, that someone will contact me by email, still waiting, no answers, and no refund, anyone has any idea? I'm in contact with CAV at the moment.

Do tell, how does anyone score an eBay $500 gift card?

I'd be seriously irate if eBay had stuffed me around as you describe. 

When eBay have slighted me and don't respond appropriately, I constantly hound them by whatever means are available. Email, chat, phone, ask for a supervisor and don't let them fob you off.

I wasn't aware you could buy them, I was imagining some sort of bonus directly from eBay ...

Yes, you can buy them, e-gift card. Well, everything is with VCAT now, just waiting for the hearing to be scheduled.

I have no answers for you.. I am also currently waiting on a return from a $100 gift card that was also cancelled as I didn’t have the funds in my account at the time to pay the remaining for the item. I have contacted them twice. Ive been waiting 40+ days. Each time they are certain I will receive my money back… and nothing ever happens. I am literally giving up. I’m about ready to call them up and not let them hang up until the money is back.

Surely you don't honestly believe the OP is still looking for an answer some 4 years later.

If you have something you wish to share, it's advisable to start your own thread. Bumping an old one such as this will only serve to have it locked by the mods.
