Ebay must be concerned with the impact, I received a "courtesy" phone call from them the other for the first time in 12 years!

As always, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Sure, no listing or gallery fees for the first 30 items each month sounds great, but increasing the FVF from 5.25% to 7.9% is a hell of a sting in the tail!

It essentially means that once your item price reaches around $50-odd, the increased FVF means that overall, you will actually be paying MORE than you do now.

Seems that what eBay gives with one hand, it takes with the other.

I would also like to know why Australian Top Sellers will not get the same benefit as USA Top Sellers (20% discount on fees).

http://pages2.ebay.com.au/News/InsideSelling/eTRS (AU TS)

http://pages.ebay.com/sell/July2009Update/Details/index.html#1-2 (USA TS).............

eBay Top-rated sellers will earn top rewards: 20% fee discounts, exclusive promotion in search results for Fixed Price listings, exclusive ability to purchase Featured First, and a prominent Top-rated seller badge on their item pages.

Re: Changes to meet buyer demand on eBay.com.au (26/07/2011)

hi guys I bought a Xbox game for 38 dollars it was supposed to be genuine but it was a useless pirated cd. I am entitled for a refund but I have to pay 20+ dollars to send it back registered post to get a refund. The seller has been suspended and PayPal will not cover me for return postage and will go in favour of the suspended seller if I don't provide a tracking number. I thought PayPal was here to protect buyers from crooks. So much from PayPal protection.

I dont sell huge amounts of items on ebay, but i do sell a little bit.

I just worked out that my 0.30cent saving on a listing for an item that say....ends at $20.00
With the new 7.9% Final Value Fee is going to cost me MORE to list

Do they think we are a bunch of Ignorant Losers, we can do the math

Pretending to give us great savings, in effect we are going to pay more on each listing

Thanks Heaps Ebay 😉

I also totally agree with the Sellers who are saying we are the ones that keep Ebay alive by paying all the fees, but are totally unprotected from inappropriate buyers we encounter now and then

Ebay is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth
might start heading to more markets, Toy and collectors fairs instead
