a lot of sellers have only themselves to blame for losing sales..on a search for womens clothing (i do quite often & also have a saved search) there are eg 50500+ items ..
when i click the link at the side to customise into categories eg tops, jeans etc etc .. the box that appears shows how many there are in each category eg jeans (50) of the whole of the search ..
at the bottom of this box is a category 'not specified' & always has the highest number of items on this occasion of the above fig (26000+) items ..
which would you rather look through a list of eg (50) items in each category or the 'not specified' which is full of sizes & items you might not be interested in..
the sellers who choose not to specify have their items end up in this category .. so whos to blame for that ??
some sellers dont include measurements & say please ask .. from a search i have to ask so many i end up being blocked by ebay for sending my email limit..
for people who search for items ending soon theres no time to ask & get a reply before the end in some cases ..
i dont understand sellers not taking a few minutes to take at least the bust meas ..
they say to me .. i have so many items to list i dont have time... well why do they think we have time to ask ???
or i am so busy with my life i dont have time ..if people want to know they'll ask ..well .. news out is that some people wont .. they have left it in posts that they hit the back button if there are no meas..
we are tired of wasting money ..& being disappointed with items that dont fit ..
possibly the lack of sales is people starting to vote with their bids
:)

THE REASON? HERE IT IS, BELOW (THANKS to WIKIPEDIA), Bulgary for example, is a brand recently acquired by LVMH (Owners of numerous brands, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Champagne Moet & Chandon, etc...):
On June 4, 2008, a court in Troyes, France awarded luxury goods maker Hermes damages of $30,000 as a result of the sale of two counterfeit Hermes bags on eBay in 2006. The court also ordered eBay to run a statement reporting the court case on the home page of eBay's French Web site for three months.[citation needed]
On June 29, 2008, a court in Paris, France awarded damages of 40 million euros ($ 63 million) to luxury goods group LVMH over eBay auctions of counterfeit bags, perfumes and other items. The plaintiffs further alleged that auctions of legitimate perfumes were also illegal, because, they claim, only authorized resellers are permitted to sell them, and authorized resellers are not permitted to sell on eBay. The court agreed, entering a permanent injunction against eBay auctions of LVMH perfumes, whether counterfeit or not.[22] After the appeals court declined to stay that injunction,[23] eBay announced that French users would be barred from buying or selling LVMH perfumes and cosmetics on any of eBay's sites.[24

eBay announced that French users would be barred from buying or selling LVMH perfumes and cosmetics on any of eBay's sites.[24
CORRECTION:
HERMES brand IS NOT part of the LVMH Group (Not Just Yet...), sorry for any inconveniences:
At December 31, 2010, the Hermรจs family collectively owned a 62.79% stake in Hermรจs International S.A. through a number of individual and company holdings; the stake entitled the family to 73.96% of voting rights in the company. The luxury goods company LVMH held 20.21% of shares (amassed in the latter half of 2010) and 13.08% of votes at the same date, with 0.39% of shares held as treasury stock and the remaining 16.61% free float. Speculation that LVMH will launch a takeover bid for Hermรจs has been repeatedly denied by its chairman Bernard Arnault. Some industry insiders are in doubt, such as Renรฉ Weber, an analyst at Zรผrich's Bank Vontobel, who has claimed: "Arnault is not afraid of a fight and a lot of his battles have been successful for him and his shareholders. Whether he can eventually succeed with [a takeover of] Hermรจs is still an open question." Bertrand Puech, who chairs the main Hermรจs family holding company, has criticised LVMH's acquisition of Hermรจs shares and called on the company to reduce its stake by half

Scheduling fee
AU $0.20
Insertion fee
AU $0.30
Gallery Plus Fee
AU $2.49
Subtitle fee
AU $0.49
PicturePack fee
AU $1.50
Category Featured listing fee
AU $49.95
Listing Designer fee
AU $0.10
Final Value fee
AU $10.70
EXAMPLE ABOVE IS FOR AN ITEM SOLD $135.50, I LISTED WITH 'Featured Plus' -what is invoiced above as 'Category Featured listing fee'- for what NOW cost $49.95 and used to cost $19.95 (!) , If you do not list with that feature, your item won't be seen by prospective buyers until the 11th hour, it will be drowned in a sea of chinese 'carp' as someone put it here.
So, make the calculation, add it all-up, it cost me $65.73 to sell an item on eBay woth $135.50 , what cost, prior to eBay crazy increases, $31.96, now cost $65.73 to sell on eBay ! (I include the 0.20 Scheduling Fee -another 'honest' fee...- in the calculation ) ! My LOSS is PHENOMENAL, so what do I do next? LIST without those Features? and sell for a lot less (already tried it)... or move my business somewhere else, to a more local and ethical business, not as recognized as eBay perhaps, but where the listing fees are a lot, lot cheaper and where I should make a profit, rather than SUFFER an ENORMOUS LOSS, NOW THAT eBay have implemented "CHANGES TO MEET BUYERS DEMAND" [AND LINE OUR POCKETS, they should add]....
BY THE WAY, THE MODERATORS OF THE HEREWITH DISCUSSION THREAD are HIRED OUTSIDE of eBay, HAVE BEEN CONTRACTED 'OUTSIDE' by eBay, YOU SHOULD KNOW IT. WHAT EFFECT SHOULD THIS HAVE UPON HOW OUR COMMENTS ARE USED by eBay to ADDRESS OUR CONCERNS, NOT SO SURE... WILL eBay at the end, ADDRESS OUR CONCERNS? THEY NEVER CHANGED THEIR PRICING SCALES AFTER WE COMPLAINED IN THE PAST, SO IT IS ALL BETTER TREATED 'FROM A DISTANCE', NO? eBay are CLEARLY 'ROAD TESTING' THESE CHANGES, SO LETS SEE IF THEY WILL REALIZE HOW OBSCENE THOSE CHANGES ARE BUT WILL THEY HAVE THE GUTS to REVERSE THEM ? THEY MUST BE LAWS to PROTECT THE CONSUMERS WE ARE IN THIS COUNTRY, NO? WOULD WE BE HOBBYISTS SELLING ON eBay, OR THE WORLD HAS REALLY GONE MAD, OUR POLITICIANS ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB...
