I have purchased an item off a seller and in the payment listing seller has put payment option as 'PayPal' and that is the only option, however after I won the item seller sent me an email saying she was only accepting bank deposit as there are issues with her paypal account. I obviously know that I'm not obliged to pay as her listing is inaccurate but how do I prevent getting a strike against my name for non payment when it's not my fault in the first place as if bank deposit was the ONLY option of payment I never would've bid in the first place?

I paid a girl for an item and never received it. After hassling her via email about when i was going to get it, she stopped replying and that was it! She had my money, I got squat! reported her to ebay, they opened a case against her, then I'm told they can't tell me what action will be taken against her because of privacy laws! So she free to continue ripping people off ( probably under a new name ) and i get no come back, not even some info on whether or not they dealt with her! Is there "anything" I can do?

Just wondering i have been bidding on a camera which now the bid has finished and i didnt win the bid but now the camera is back on ebay up for bidding again are the sellers allowed to do that if they dont get what they want for the product they can put it back on

I am thinking of buying a smartphone from a business seller, who claim that it is covered by manufacturer warranty, but when I contact the manufacturer they say they don't cover. Does anyone have any experience or know anything? Please help.

I have bid and won a Griffin Ipad case from a seller supposedly in Hong Kong, paid and now according to Paypal my payment is uncollected or something similar. Checking the seller I find they are in Malaysia with a very low feedback and now think the case does not exist. Where do I go from here?

The obvious thing is they are using the current currency rate to increase their item cost. As no alternative to US dollars price was offered the difference between Aus dollar and Us dollar is negative whereas vs NZ dollar is positive! eg. Item buy now price 20 US = 20.84 Aus, 20 NZ= 16.80 Aus. Easy money if legal.

It is not very good when your bidding on a item on EBAY that clearly states NO RESERVE, as soon as you put your bid in and conferm bid it comes up with you have been out bidded, i tryed bidding several times but got the same result. Same on you seller for waisting my time, ernest

Last night I posted a similar inquiry here and 4 members replied but the thread has been closed by Ebay it would seem...and I cannot read the replies . Anyway I bought a spiral staircase for $456 from a seller in China who is right now still selling more stairs.... with auctions coming up any day. Another Australian seller who is selling the same stairs for auction at over $1800 so far kindly warned me that the Asian seller is a fraud...He posts pictures, takes your money then fails to send the goods. He apparently deals in spiral stairs, billiad tables and other high ticket items. I now wonder if I will get my stairs...I reported the matter to PayPal and they advised to open a claim, which they did on my behalf...However when they contact the seller he may just say he will post...but then may not do so. I just wondered if anybody else can give details as if the Australian seller is correct, I am sure others would also have been scammed and maybe they reported it here? Cheers all xoxo

Should I ask seller for refund of the over-charge? Thanks, I appreciate that an error can occur when placing a bid but the problem is that the that when I accurately entered a bid of $3.19 which was accepted a maximum bid was automatically entered with the decimal point in the wrong place. I don't think I will bid anymore as this has now happened twice and is very stressful. The bid is OK but the maximum bid is wrong. My issue therefore is how to prevent this automatic maximum bid being entered incorrectly. Maybe no one else has had this happen but I have both times I have recently placed bids.

Hi, recently when I have placed a bid eg $1.39 I get a maximum bid of $139.00 entered on the site even though I haven't entered a maximum bid. I have made sure I have only entered the bid both times. A bit stressful waiting to see what happens to the bid. Any answers welcome, thanks

HI I recently noticed an item up for sale that was mine until very recently when I sold it to a buyer on Ebay. Now it is being sold by someone else (not the buyer I sold to, though they come from the same area) who is making false claims about where they bought the item and how much they paid for it. This seller is also stating they have a receipt to prove what they are claiming they paid for it. All untrue. What do you advise? I can prove the item was mine by the serial number.

I purchased a second hand pedestal type ash tray from ebay and it arrived damaged, in the form of a rather large crack. As you can understand the item is now worthless and will not function correctly. I believe the seller has taken "reasonable steps" to send it (cost around $25, in a box packed with news paper) but believe it had been damaged in transit (Aust post). The seller is sorry and does not accept returns, neither had insurance been applied. The seller has not offered anything bar an apology. I would like to know if there are any other avenues to pursue or am I stuck with a broken item?
