I'm sure you've heard this issue before, but it's the first time I've encountered it.
Going to use XXX to keep specific places hidden.
Using the Aus Post tracking number, standard delivery:
- 1/8: Received By Australia Post - XXX VIC
- 2/8: With Australia Post for delivery today - MITCHELL ACT, 7:25am
- 2/8: Delivered - MITCHELL ACT, 2:16pm
I am from ACT but not MITCHELL, I'm from another suburb. No where on here is my suburb shown. It just has MITCHELL ACT twice. It says that it is complete/delivered, but I didn't receive anything at home, not even the note to collect it from the post office.
I called Australia Post and gave them all the details and lodged a "dispute case" or "missing case" or whatever it is.
What happens from here? What could've possibly happened?
If things go extra sour and it is not located, what do I do about getting my money back? I bought it using PayPal. But if the seller did send it to the correct address then this is on Australia Post.
The thing that I bought is worth ~ $750. Will Aus Post cover? eBay seller? I'm so lost. Help.

It was mentioned earlier that the seller was NARU'd so you shouldn't need to go past step 2.
Phone eBay again or better still get them to call you back during office hours, if you don't get satisfaction ask to speak to a supervisor.

One would asume a reputable, honest seller would know express post was a no no and would not have signed the dangrous goods declaration.
I meant to address this earlier but I forgot since it wasn't relevant to the situation at hand, though really have to say it (for the nth time in response to PJ posting the opposite, lol).
Mobile phones, and other items with lithium batteries, can be sent by express via Australia Post - they just have to be packed a certain way.
Please, see here for verification. https://auspost.com.au/sending/check-sending-guidelines/dangerous-prohibited-items
"Lithium batteries can only be sent internationally (air or sea), or domestically by air if the battery or cell (maximum of two batteries or four individual cells) are installed in the device and meet all the packaging requirements."

I'm confused (what's new?)
The OP had fb from this seller the other day....now it's gone?
I went to check the seller's status and the fb is not there.
If they have been NARU'D as a scammer, why won't ebay refund?

You could contact Postal Ombudsman about it, its worth a go.
That would be the last resort. And probably pointless. The problem is with the seller, not AP.

When a new member is made NARU, all feedback they have left is removed, regardless of the type or dot colour etc. (The reasoning behind it is that the member, and therefore their feedback, is not trustworthy).
PayPal usually refund quickly if a member is NARU, not sure about eBay, but I'd let the eBay case play out first as the OP seems to be doing.

Sorry that was me,
I saw that all their items had being removed and the feedback had been removed for the Op's item,(that
normally only happens if the seller is NARU'd).
In this case the sold listings are still up and they haven't been NARU"d,(so I suspect that it's a hijacked
account and it's been put back into the hands of the account owner).
If the Op reports it as a hijacked account then they should be reimbursed quickly.
I've only ever seen one account go from NARU's to back to active,(so that's what may have happened on
this account)

You'll figure it out,
All feedback comments they had for the 5 completed items have been removed,

Just a technical point but possibly worth mentioning. The seller must provide proof of DELIVERY to ebay, not just proof of postage. With paypal they only have to provide proof of posting.
I just hope all the other people who've been scammed do something about it and that the seller hasn't got a linked account that's allowed them to withdraw all their money. Ebay should cover it anyway but I wouldn't want to see people like this get away with one cent!
