Hey guys, so I made a purchase from a seller on July 31st. I paid via PayPal with a credit card and the payment cleared on August 2nd.
However, it's now August 8th - the estimated delivery date was August 7th and the seller hasn't even posted my dang item yet! I sent them a message about this the other day but they haven't responded. The seller had a rating of 98.7 and I don't usually go below 99 percent but they seemed to have nothing but great ratings from other buyers.
So how do I proceed with this?

Hi, Kimbooley89,
I'm so sorry your thread has been derailed.
You mentioned in your opening post that the estimated delivery date was 7th August. You have given some leeway to the seller, and have certainly let the seller have a chance to see this through satisfactorily. Opening a case saying that your item hasn't arrived is, in these circumstances, probably the best thing to do.

Haha, no worries. I was more puzzled than anything to see what had happened while I wasn't checking in.
But yeah, still haven't received an actual message from the seller yet either, regarding the message I sent asking if the item had been posted or not.

Anyway, it's been two weeks since I made the purchase and item still hasn't shown up, despite the seller saying they would post within 1 day of cleared payment and they're located in a suburb about 2 hours away from me. So I've opened a case against them.
Way to go!!
They live not that far from you, the item is almost a week overdue & they are not answering messages?
Odds on they never sent it at all, which is why they ignored you. Yep, best to get your money back & leave them neg feedback.

If that's the case, I'd neg 'em for being stupid for not reading policies.

Never thought of that one. Some sellers really ‘wing it’ in here if that’s the case.
I was reading in another E forum a couple of days ago about funds being withheld (all of $24) with the seller complaining that she had no money to post it until the funds were sent to her. I mean, thats really skinny innit!!
I’ve no way of knowing whether it’s genuine or not and don’t know whether to feel sorry, or a bit ho hum about it.
Melina.

No you're wrong on this one worzel*gummidge . I doubt if the countess is a sock-puppet of Davewil' or visa versa. But in saying that, you're on the right track my friend. I'll leave it there at that. Cast the net to the right and to the left and you'll get one fish. It's all about balance.
98 plus plus % of what you say otherwise is bang on.

Yep. eBay just asked about stepping in to solve the case. I updated them with a message about what had happened and literally within about 5 minutes they got back to me, saying that because the seller hadn't provided any tracking info to them, they were refunding me and the money was back in my account right away!

4channel, always enjoy reading your posts. This post of yours has me puzzled.
The only poster that I am aware of using multiple IDs on these boards at the moment is worzel. Feel free to send me a PM if you know of others . . . . . . I won’t tell.
I am interested in what you think of posters using their other IDs to give kudo to themselves. Personally, I think it smacks of insecurity and a desire to make what they post look credible. In fact, it has the opposite effect and calls into question the poster’s integrity and credibility, Anyway, enough of what I think about this, what are your thoughts?

You are joking, aren’t you? Maybe you are reading stuff I have not seen. Can you elaborate for me?
