I've found Global to be inflexible, expensive and frustrating. I've just had an item sent through it and of course it's under multiple carriers and the number I was given by WNDirect cannot be tracked. I've therefore paid for a Priority Mail service and received what was First Class without the tracking. I live in Australia and First Class International through the good old U.S. Post can now be tracked here. It is SO much better than what I just experienced and costs me so much less, but when a seller locks themselves into a Global listing, it appears that they can no longer override the invoice so I've just paid double for this rubbish! So not happy!!

Why not? You would only have to post to Australia.
And Australia Post isn't a government subsidised lossmaker, so GSP prices could well be on a par with, or lower than, AP. It wouldn't be hard.

Wow, it was only yesterday you were saying this :-
"If I was a seller who had something on "Best Offer" and was contacted by someone who wanted to change, adjust, combine or W.H.Y., I'd hold out for a higher offer."
Aside from that, it's highly unlikely that Australian sellers will ever have the chance to use the GSP - we are simply too large a country with a relatively small population to make the system viable.
You only have to look at the only two countries using it, the US and UK, to see that.

Oh dear Padi, you know very well I was talking about people paying through the nose on postage costs via the Pitney Bowes GSP scam. The fact that I, if I had something on a "Best Offer: feature and wanted to get a few more bucks for an item shouldn't be used here. *BIG SIGH*
So sad!
Who knows. GSP may or may not be here in Australia one day. Let's hope for a "not".

Your logic isn't very good. If someone has make an offer on a listing and someone contacts them trying to get cheaper shipping, doesn't that automatically tell the seller that they're not likely to pay full price OR the current shipping, so why would a seller think they may as hold out for a higher price just because someone asks for cheaper shipping?
As for your last line about hoping gsp never comes to Australia, why should you get to inflict your views on others and stop others from being able to safely sell their goods overseas?
I don't know why I bothered wasting my time saying anything. You always twist everything to suit yourself. You'd made a fantastic politician!

Politicians even twist sisters to suit themselves and then claim they wrote the lyrics themselves. Nothing about the IP on the tune.

Clive Palmer. Using a Twisted Sister song as his theme. Slightly altered lyrics, same melody. No permission sought from the owner of the song. Who will be suing him, apparently, when he arrives here in a couple of weeks for a tour.
