Global Shipping program glitch

I was going to purchase a clothing item from Canada and asked the seller possibly to discount at all(the item had been listed for quite a while)they replied saying they would give me 20% discount. I agreed and they relisted item at discounted price. The shipping price was on the item to begin with. Then on Monday I began to do the payment( but this time shipping cost said Calculate) and I get notification to change my addess etc. So emailed seller about the problem and they responded " because its via the GSP" that she was unable to do anything (they had spoken to Ebay about it) its a bid ridiculous as the item had shipping cost to begin with. So seller told me now they will cancel the order and I had also commited to buy. Rather disappointing.

She said she would cancel it. So there goes the item. But I did find something similar which I have purchased and was also about 70% discounted so in a way it was a blessing in disguise

It actually helps if you know your geography Michelle.Smiley LOL

How much extra did the seller want for GSP shipping?  From what I can see you are spending a lot more money on the alternate item than you would have spent if you had paid the GSP shipping.

It was US$19.00.

Re: Global Shipping program glitch

But that is nearly US$7 less than the First Class shipping for the alternate item.

You have made a goose of yourself...paying more just because you objected to the GSP price.

I suspect that the first cost was for shipping within the USA....this often happens on US listings before the GSP price comes up.

You were probably on the US site when you first looked at the listing then on the AU site when you went to pay.

Yes but the other item I made an offer of US$7.00 that was accepted plus shipping was US25.00.
