some weeks ago there was discussion here about an "outside website" where member buying history could be looked up.
I am in no way wanting to re-start the sometimes heated discussion surrounding the use of that website, but want to let members know that you can have your buying history suppressed on that site.
It is hard to post this information without saying the name of the website, which would probably get that same old protagonists going at eachother again. So, I have uploaded a screengrab I just took from that site that details how to "opt-out" of your eBay ID being able to be searched. I will edit this post so that the image will no longer be visible on this post, but will be visible if you look at my member profile and click on my images. I will make all other images there private so that there is only one image to view.
Follow the instructions on the screengrab and your buying history will not be searchable on that outside website. Takes a little while for the request to be processed, but that should be expected. For anyone who is holding off posting because you don't want your buying history looked into you can now suppress your buying activity search results and then post here knowing that members can not search your buying habits/history on that site.
I ask that members not use this thread to start up the old arguments. Thank you.
edit: image now removed BUT still viewable through my profile public image album.

I agree Kopes.
I often used that site when answering questions in the AC. For the most part, the OPs do not give enough information for us to give an informed answer and often do not return to answer questions they are asked.
Add to that the fact that is now seems that all Item Numbers are removed by the Mods and really I think the AC may as well be closed entirely.

What did you expect when people were bringing so much attention to it on the forums. It was bound to be shut down.

No-one can 'help' Michelle anymore
Too many snoopers snooping where they shouldn't and using the miserable excuse of helping others.
Watchcount has it's place without the bidders and sellers history being available to all and sundry and I don't mind being counted as one who is clapping hands over the decision to shut that part of the menu down.. This place will be so much better off with-out posters reporting to the world what others are buying and selling,.in the smug way that they do, that leaves most of the OPs wondering how this information is available and why this information isn't protected. ..
Did I mention miserable excuses..? Try as I may stawka, I just can't see how your posting of things that jump up and down and wave etc would be any help to anybody other than a 6 year old. I can't recall anytime you have helped Michelle, You, and a few like you, seem to take delight at attempting to embarrass and humiliate the id every time it appears on the boards and I can only guess that you do it because others do it, and you need to be seen as a part of the - cir nope, not that mob, but similar.
Just my opinion and I hope you can continue helping even though the fantastic helping tool has been taken away. you might even learn how to ask questions .
Yall come back again.
