Price restrictions

I tried to list a musical instrument and was not allowed to put it at the price I wanted. I listed it lower and emailed ebay asking why I couldn't list it at the price I wanted.
The reply was - your item is listed! Watch for best result.
I questioned that and asked for an explanation, with no response. About 6 emails later I've still had no response. Any advice?

Re: Price restrictions

When I click on their name, it is still coming up as a member to me?

The listing has gone though.

I did notice it said Guaranteed 3 day delivery though, which surprised me. Guess it isn't a problem if they don't have anything for sale but it could be if they decide to list a few smaller items. Don't think I would opt into a guaranteed delivery time at this stage of their ebay selling career.

Re: Price restrictions

Definitely NARU'd Springy.

Probably just as well.

I could see them getting scammed and losing the guitars and the money.

Maybe it just got all too hard, and they threw their hands up.

Re: Price restrictions

I think they were mad to consider selling something that expensive on ebay when they have so little experience. I wouldn't risk selling some that expensive even with experience!

Re: Price restrictions

Only eBay can NARU a member that quickly,(you can't close your account yourself that quickly).

So maybe shut down temporarely for not following the rules,(or for "safety" concerns),Who knows.gif

It's an account that's in danger of being scammed due to lack of knowledge about scammers.

Thanks. My thought re auditioning the instrument would be to meet at a neutral, public place. What do you think?

Re: Price restrictions

Certainly not a park, where they can grab and run.

This has happened with phone sales.

Good point. I'm an invalid,so no chance of chasing anyone. Maybe my local pubs lounge where I'm known to the rather burley security people & staff. How do I list it as an auction with my starting price?

Re: Price restrictions

go to HELP at top of page and ask ebay to phone you. They will be able to tell you why you are having trouble
