Queensland Knife Restrictions do not align with state law and are discriminative

The new policy that eBay have imposed meaning any buyer residing in Queensland can not purchase any knife is not aligned with the actual legislation changes.

The only thing that has changed is that you need to be 18 to purchase a knife.

Ebay should just implement age verification and stop this ridiculous heavy handed policy that prevents legitimate users such as myself from purchasing legal items.

I attempted to buy a bone saw as I home kill  sheep, I can go to local shop and buy one at 2 or 3 times the price hard to justify the fact I have a credit card attached to my ebay account should show I'm not a minor ,, where does this stop, it's adhoc over all blades it appears, yet I can order with credit card on another site,  I just pay more

Just because there is a credit card attached means absolutely nothing,  is it your credit card.   You can buy from an account and give anybody's credit card.   I know heaps of minors who run around and use their parents credit cards.

The only way would be full age verification, which is not credit card.

According to Ebay, as a 40 year old I can no longer be trusted to purchase a dull edged Cheese knife set as I happen to live in Queensland.

Slow clap Ebay for putting in the absolute minimum amount of effort to comply by blanket banning the whole state.

When you can figure out how ebay and every individual seller is supposed to comply with legislation, let us know.

As a 40 year old what is the fixation with having to buy the cheese knife on eBay?

And why even try when you know you are not allowed to?

Was announced in July so not like there has not been enough time by now to find elsewhere to buy

I guess as a 40 year old,  you will have a solution for Ebay to comply.

Sandy wasn't replying to you.

Unless you are posting with 2 different IDs in order to reinforce your argument.

The concept of a public forum can be difficult to grasp.

True.

It's only been around since Ancient Greece. A drop in time in human evolution. Although a significant chunk of civilisation.
