Yesterday I received a pair of sandals I had bought that were listed as a size 8/6.5UK. As soon as I unwrapped them, I saw straight away they were larger than I was expecting, and upon furter investigation discovered they were in fact a size 9, which was marked on the inside of the strap.
I emailed the seller and this was her response:
I am sorry but this is the description I went by that was on the box. If the shoes are unworn you can return them at you own expense and I will refund the price you paid for the shoes only.
SHE made the mistake, so why should I have to pay for return postage AND original postage?
Where do I stand with this?

The sandals were purchased on 4 November, so within the new MBG time frame.
I am still not sure how to proceed with this. If the seller's reply had said she would pay AT LEAST for the original postage cost, I wouldn't be so concerned. I am of the opinion if that it was ME who had made the mistake, then I would not only pay the initial cost including postage, but also the return postage cost.

I agree.
Policy should not dictate that a Seller to the right thing a little thing called integrity should.
OP I feel for you, hope your Seller does the right thing by you.
UK 6.5 = EU 39.5 = AU 8.5 ( or small 9) = USA 9-9.5
No size table I have ever seen would represent this as an AU8, her mistake her $ problem.
