I came on to see if anyone else had problems with Sendle, to see multiple problems. I paid for an item 28 days ago, and haven't received it. It's in some kind of Sendle limbo where they just add a couple of days into the future. The seller listed the item as post AP and I paid AP prices. At about 25 days, I requested a refund, as the event I bought it for was last weekend. I said I'd return it, which I would (should it ever actually arrive.) Now Ebay has delayed it's decision for another few days as well. I'm absolutely livid. It was supposed to arrive around 14 days ago. I'm relishing the bad feedback I'm going to give and I'm pretty sure this is it for ebay for me as a buyer.

If you cared to look at the screenshots I provided earlier, you would see that even when the buyer has only one option, they still have to select that option to proceed.
Why do people have so much difficulty understanding such a straight forward process?
I shouldn't have to keep explaining basic eBay buying and selling procedure here.
Edit: and I didn't cherry pick anyone, so I have no idea where that came from
I really tried to make sense of this lot. 😀

A ' method ' - is not a preference.
An ' option ' - is a preference.

Having sold in excess of 12,000 items - I have never given a ' choice ' - it's AP or nothing.
And there you have it. Thankyou for agreeing with exactly what I'm saying. Your buyers have the choice of selecting AP - so that's obviously what they select.
And just in case the horse isn't completely dead.......................................

Since you're having such difficulty understanding how eBay works, I'll explain it again.
I am not interested in how many options are available - that's not what's being discussed here, and it's totally irrelevant - although you are correct in stating that the buyer's selected option is their preference.
For each and every transaction on eBay, the buyer selects the shipping method from the available options. They have no choice but to do so if they wish to complete the payment process. The seller has no control over the buyer's choice. The seller isn't remotely controlling the buyer's device, nor is the seller teleporting to the buyers house to complete the checkout process for them.
eBay also provides the seller with details of the Buyer's selected postage service for each and every transaction. Since the seller has no input into the buyer's selection, it's extremely obvious that this wording is 100% correct.
The entire point of the current discussion is to reduce confusion and misinterpretation of basic eBay procedure, but for some reason, people are ignoring the facts and the proof - and they're trying to shoot the messenger. I have no control over which procedures eBay implement.
To further prove that the buyer MUST select a postage option for every transaction, just have a look at the eBay help pages. Here's a screenshot for your convenience...
Have a look at point 4. If the seller selects the postage method, then why does it say the buyer must do so as one of the steps in completing payment. Would it not say "wait for the seller to select your postage options for you"?
eBay tell the seller that the buyer made the selection, and eBay tell the buyer that they have to make the selection.
Let's see how long it takes now before someone pops in and again tries telling me that eBay is wrong. That seems to be the general theme here.

If you're referring to eBay purchases, then unfortunately, you're completely wrong.
You can't complete the eBay checkout process without selecting a postage method. It's impossible to do so. To further elaborate, every time you complete checkout on eBay you are offered a minimum of 1 postage method. So by completing eBay checkout you have selected a postage method, whether you like it or not - simples.
It's rather alarming to see the number of people who not only don't understand the checkout procedure, but who also have little/no understanding of what they are actually doing themselves.
The fact that anyone would confirm and pay for anything without knowledge of what they are confirming is astonishing.

Horse is still kicking, I guess.
You don't 'select' a postage option if there's no other option than what's listed.
The title of the thread is SENDLE COMPLAINTS, not postage options, but go ahead.

No horse... just facts.
Usually people here post information about correct eBay procedures and relevant policies.
Unfortunately, during this conversation those very same people - yourself included - have posted information which is contrary to correct eBay procedure.
Buyers simply have to understand that they are responsible for their own choices.
I have previously received literally dozens of abusive emails from a buyer complaining about the courier that I had chosen. I gave them an update on the item location and provided a link to the tracking page. I also politely pointed out that I hadn't chosen any delivery service, and they had actually selected the courier during checkout. This just set them going 10 times worse. Then I copped a neg. The comment was along the lines of... DVD took 2 weeks to show up cos this seller chose Sendle and won't admit it.
Needless to say, the neg was immediately removed because it contained an untruthful comment. However, had the buyer understood that the shipping method was entirely their own choice, I believe none of the abuse (including the neg) would have happened.
If posting the facts here saves just one seller from a similar experience, then it's completely worth the effort, and far from beating a dead horse 😂
