Seller won't sell to buyers who don't meet their requirements?

I am trying to purchase an item but when i add it to my cart it says, "Seller won't sell to buyers who doesn't meet their requirements". After that it also said,

The seller has specified that this item can't be posted to P.O. box addresses.
  • You can still continue, but you'll need to provide another postage address at checkout, when you pay for this item.
  • You can contact the seller for more information, or find similar items offered by other sellers

What does it mean when it says "P.O. box address"? I've typed my home address and not a P.O. box address.

It's also possible that the sellers in the same area of products might know each other in some way or another - and the seller you had an issue with may have added you to his blocked seller / bidder list - he may have then passed around your username to a few people in the same industry and they may have done the same thing.

Sellers are well within their rights to do this - the same as you have the right to choose who you buy from, they can choose, under certain circumstances who they sell to.

The seller can block your account, so that way you cant buy items from them. It happened to me after i sent a message to a seller regarding some human hair extensions, he stated that they were 100% human hair, and i asked if this was correct because i needed to make sure they were human before i bought them, and he had a lot of bad reviews all from this extensions. he said that it might not suit my needs and to prevent me from purchasing he blocked me so i cant buy them lol

Why would you even be thinking of buying from a seller who has bad feedback for the item you want to buy?

Rather than complaining about the seller you should be thanking him for blocking you and saving you from possible (probable) disappointment.

If you want real human hair buy locally so you can see what you are getting.

I doubt that any of the earlier responders are even going to see your post after all these years.

I have the same problem - an Ebay seller won't see to me presumably because I have only bought items, not sold any.

I can't find anyone else selling this product; how do I get through to the seller/Ebay on this?  The Ebay forms don't really relate to the problem, and the seller won't respond.

Is the only answer to buy something overseas and not support our local businesses?

My guess is that is because you only have 1 feedback?

Some sellers but not all block buyers with low feedback so perhaps if you purchase a few more items from sellers that don't block you and once you have a higher feedback score you can then purchase what you're really after.

Personally I think it stinks that you got blocked but it's just the way it is even though everyone needs to start at 0 feedback so should be given the opportunity to buy.

Phone verify your account and the blocks won't apply. Until you're phone verified, you will have to get more than 5 feedback before you can bypass the blocks for low feedback. Buy a few cheap less than $1 items from China as most Chinese give feedback on payment. It doesn't matter if they don't arrive, you're only wanting the feedback. I generally tell people to look at auctions for "jewellery beads" or "pendants" because they often sell for less than $1 with free postage. You can either throw them out when they arrive, or resell them yourself for a few bucks and make a profit.

It has nothing to do whether you sell or not. It's your feedback score and the fact you aren't phone verified.

I agree with you that it is probably the fact the feedback is below 5 & not phone verified that is causing this buyer to hit a block.

You most definitely do not need to ever be a seller, but it does pay to build up at least a minimum amount of feedback.

I know that buying the jewellery beads from China is probably the quickest way but if i were the buyer, I would consider looking at some items I would actually use. Some shower caps from China are only $1 incl postage. They're not great quality but at least useful.

Or.. it is only 4 more feedback needed. How about buying some specialised teas or spices from some of the Australian sellers? You're  looking at under $5 for some spices and not much more for some of the teas. The teas come in quite nice packages you could use as Christmas gifts.

Buy small packets from different sellers though.

That would be what I'd do-costs slightly more but they give feedback quickly & you'd get some useful things for Christmas pressies.

I'd verify my account. Costs nothing.

Smiley Happy well, that's true.

But with Christmas almost upon us, it's a great opportunity to buy small quantities of special blend teas or whatever & give with a nice teacup or mug as a KK gift or to a friend.

Everyone talks about how cheap the things are from China (and it's true, they are) but some of the aussie sellers have some great little products that would make wonderful stocking fillers etc and the items arrive within a couple of days.

verifying the account is definitely the quickest & most cost effective option but not nearly as much fun.Smiley Wink

Depends on what the buyer wants. There are a lot of cheap (under $1) things which can fit in an envelope for $1 postage, such as cards, coins, stamps etc.

Maybe I should sell a few random things for 1c + $1 postage to boost my feedback. Anyone need a 1c coin, a single playing card, an expired myki card or a KFC refresher towel? 🙂
