Hi to all
Has any member felt unprotected, i do now, i purchased an item from an overseas seller when it arrived the item was not as described, i contacted the seller and eBay i went through what i was told by the seller and eBay they told me to return the item to them and that i would be refunded in full for the item and for all the returned postage which in the eBay rules has to be to registered so it could be traced.
I did all i was told to do, i have proof that the seller has picked up the items in question at the Malaysian post office, but they will not refund my money i have emailed them around ten times and now i do not even get a reply, eBay knows of what has happened and that the seller has not refunded what they said they would, but eBay still lets them trade eBays exact words to me was that we are behind you on this one but the seller is still trading the seller is still receiving numerous negative feedback every week and i still have not received my refund from them after doing what i was told to do.
All eBay tell me to do now is take it up with your bank that is the thanks i get for being a 100% member since 2002 never a negative feedback and the seller who owes me money gets neg feedback every week but he is still trading owing money to me and eBay have the proof of that I CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE THIS MONEY AS I AM A DISABILITY PENSIONER AND FEEL JUST AS LET DOWN BY EBAY AS I HAVE BEEN BY THIS SELLER.
So that is why the heading to this message is UNPROTECTED. This is the second time i have put this on for discussion the first one was taken off for some reason!!
regards a 100% eBayer

Forget about ebay in this situation. I never contact ebay about any transaction. You always need to open a Paypal dispute and follow their instructions - they handle refunds not ebay.

Like i have said before i did contact PayPal and they said the same thing to try and work it out with the seller first before forming a dispute and because the seller was accommodating i did what was instructed of me and sent the item back, the days go by when you are sending items to Malaysia when i stopped hearing from the seller i contacted eBay and PayPal it was the 47th day i have been fighting since.

Forget about eBay eBay only provides space to list items for you to buy - PP is the one that deals with payments and offers you protection, they also tell you at every turn that you only have 45 days to open dispute. As you have the proof of posting the item back, call PP (CALL do not email) and see if they can help you, but be very nice, because if they will help, it will be at their discretion. PP does suggest to try to work things out with the seller, but they do also tell you that you only have limited time; so it is fully your responsibility if you disregard that advice.
To call PP, go to your PP account and on the top right is HELP link, click on CONTACT US, get a code, call the FREE international number.
