What feedback should I give?

I won some clothes. 9 days after paying with Paypal I got an email notifying me that the Seller had been to sick to send the items till that day. Should I give a neutral? I understand being sick and there being a few days delay but it was 9 days. She didn't say she had been in hospital but had been too sick to post till then.

Re: What feedback should I give?

The seller IDs that are visible, it is easy enough to do an advanced search to see some of their selling or buying history

Re: What feedback should I give?

If their feedback does not show that this is something that happens all the time with the seller, I would choose to simply not leave feedback.

Yes 9 days is a long time, but I recently was ill for 10 days and between being dragged to the hospital and then full bed rest, eBay was the last thing on my mind.

I was simply incapable of looking at a computer!

I think as buyers and sellers we all need to remember we are human, and for a lot of people eBay is not their main income and so sometimes with the tragedies in life it may be forgotten.

As sellers we on a regular basis can wait for buyers to pay for 7 days + and we give the benefit of the doubt.  It would be nice to see the same behaviour from Buyers.

Kindness begets Kindness, they apologised, although not an ideal situation I certainly don't believe it worth negatively impacting the sellers business over.

Agree with Cheezy and Foxy ....check out the history it's all there in black and white... NEG them.

Ask yourself what this seller would have done to you if it took 9 days to pay them without any communication at all?

click on their id.

Then up the top^^ click: advanced search.

Then over to the left << click : by bidder.

Check both boxes :  Include completed listings (last 30 days)

                            :   As high bidder only.

this will tell you what that ebay ID has been bidding on and buying.

If they have left feedback for anyone within the timeframe you have been waiting for your items, just click on their feedback number, and check *feedback left for others* ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: What feedback should I give?

I have never left a negative as a buyer as I have always received everything I bought. That, to me, is the end of the story - I got what i paid for, so why would I whinge? A week or so extra delivery time is irrelevant to me.

So I would leave a positive, probably with 5 stars all round.

I will make sure I 'suffer in silence' next time I have a disappointing restaurant meal - simply because I am such a nice person, and well the meal was delivered to me so end of story?

(and I have plenty of tickets on myself)

Re: What feedback should I give?

I have done so. I just don't go back. Nor do I take out a full page ad in the newspaper to proclaim my disappointment (a more appropriate analogy).

You seem to have tickets.

The OP asked what feedback they should give; something I would never do, as it's supposed to be the buyer's perception, not a groupthink thing. I replied with MY opinion. I'm pretty sure that's still allowed, especially when it is invited.
