I won some clothes. 9 days after paying with Paypal I got an email notifying me that the Seller had been to sick to send the items till that day. Should I give a neutral? I understand being sick and there being a few days delay but it was 9 days. She didn't say she had been in hospital but had been too sick to post till then.

If the goods were as described, I would give a positive response, but I would give her 3 stars for postage and communication and 5's for all the rest.
If goods were not as described or don't arrive I would give a negative and 1's all around.

If they had been using ebay consistently during the 9 days then they could have zapped off an email to say sorry I can't post for a few days as I am not well etc.
If they didn't do that why not?
If I was a seller in that position I would have emailed the buyer, I would possibly have given them a partial refund and I would have posted asap with extras and a huge apology.
As the buyer I would wait and see what arrives, if the parcel is better than expected, preferably with a 'consolation prize' then I might still leave a pos but their postage time and communication stars would be rated as one. If they arrived and were even slightly not as described then it would be a neut and if they were worse than expected a definite neg.

I understand your concern but I think I would be kind in this situation!
It never costs anything to be kind and the payoff is massive 🙂

I wonder what would happen if these forums didn't exist, with their varied takes on things.
And the buyer went on their own instinct.

Oh Gosh I didn't want you to feel awful!
I already thought you were kind because you were being so thoughtful about what you would do.
So sorry If it came across the wrong way.

Sorry I responded to this under my other ID by mistake!
I don't think you should feel mean or awful at all! Everyone has a different take on things and different experiences. I think the OP asked the question because she was not sure and wanted some input. I picked up that she was kind person because she was being so thoughtful about her response. Your response to her question is valid as are different responses that take another view. I guess the answer that is the right fit for the OP will help her decide. 🙂
