advise  would be appreciated please

i bought a box set of dvd's

seller sent them with tracking but not sign on delivery  the tracking say's it was delivered but i have not received it ,

it looks like it was just left at my door or even went to the wrong address

if it was left at my door anyone walking past could see it ,theres nowhere to hide it

ebay have knocked back my claim i have a claim in with ppal now but when i rang the girl said because it says delivered i will not get

my $73.50 back

i dont know what else if anything i can do to get my money back

i think the seller should have sent with signature required ( i do for anything $50 or over ) so i was silly and did not think to check that

they would send in the safest way possable so have i lost my $73 ??

Re: tracking says delivered but i did not receive

that is simply unfair !!

i have been lucky over the years have bought hundreds of items on line only a very small number of 'lost' items and always was refunded and nothing expensive

but this one is tricky i feel let down by ebays MBG

AP favorite saying is "we will investigate" ...what a joke as you never hear from them again.Robot Sad

and you always hope the "thieves" realise they signed someone elses parcels and either give it back to AU post or come knock on your door or even send back to sender..

ooh charge back yes it was funded by my visa through ppal never had to do that before

thank you ! i sopose its worth a try

can you tell me do i have to go to the bank or could i just phone

would be a real pain if i have to go in there but $73 is not loose change Woman Sad

I have done chargebacks on a Mastercard through Westpac and Visa through St George Bank and both can be done over the phone.

It may be a bit quicker if you can go into your bank as I had to wait for some paperwork to be sent out but I had no option at the time.

Why would you want to punish the seller?Smiley Sad

The seller has provided the tracking #, the seller does NOT deliver or leave the package.

Maybe i'm reading this wrong?

Re: tracking says delivered but i did not receive

You could try a complaint to the postal Ombudsman, I have seen that mentioned on the boards as a way of getting compensation if a parcel has gone AWOL but tracks as delivered.

Too late to edit, got distracted before I finished.

I absolutely agree the seller should not have to pay which is why I suggested the phone call(s) to Paypal as a discretionary payment is paid by them as the seller has seller protection. Paypal is a case where the squeaky wheel gets the attention. If you do get someone to agree to giving you a refund note down their name and employee number (they will give it to you if asked) plus the exact time of the call then if the refund does not appear within 3 days call them back and you have the firepower to prove the refund was offered.

Re: tracking says delivered but i did not receive

lyndal1838 - seriously?

If you funded your paypal payment with a credit card or Visa debit carf you may be able to do a chargeback thrugh your bank.

What is wrong with you?

You're old enough to know better - advice like that ammounts to stealing - seller did everything right!

And his reward would be - what?

Robbing him of his money just because something else went wrong down the line, totally out of his control

You are advising a member to commit a criminal offence - he would have most definitely been in the wrong if he was to listen to you!

And besides, PO most likely has his parcel.

I read what you said, i'm asking about the charge back as lyndal suggested, who pays for that?

That is my concern.

So who cops the bill?

Re: tracking says delivered but i did not receive

i will not be doing anything to rip of the seller (no charge back and  no giving a neg )

but i have not received this item so i am the one that has lost out

i think that i should be able to make a claim to ppal without the seller being held responsable (like i have mentioned i have sold also so i understand it is not the sellers fault )

but i do think that when you pay for an item cheap or expensive you should receive it !!!

i thought that was why we pay ppal fees to be insured against losses like this ???
