Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

However.... because of it... I have just resurrected my family tree....(Started it on Ancestry years ago when it was FREE)
and have now sat here for all of last night and ALL of to day just 'SEARCHING' ...... I've found a few extra people in the process...... but i want my sunday back :_|

Good luck to everyone.... the paper trail can be soooooo addictive.
I've had enough now though., so am stepping away from my lappy....lol

Hahahaa amber :^O Me too. I had to drag myself away at 11 last night before I made some awful mistake. I have accidently disconnected a lot of the family and I will have to find them all today and get them back.

It's not hard, but it is tedious 😞

Sorry about that amber, still it is winter now, and that helps.

Yep, I went and did some tidying up yesterday and disconnected a whole lot of them 😞 Today I will have to upload from my 'family tree' software and get them all back again..

It isn't hard and can be done just on Ancestry, but it leaves you feeling you have to stay with it even if it takes a fornight without sleep.

I see we have the Google bug... way to go and so much there. If you can't find it one way then change the words and try again.

Both sides on mine have extensive family trees on tribalpages.com . Well worth doing a search to see if someone has done the legwork for your family already

That tribalpages site looks great irelandretro... I have joined it in the hope that I might come across some stuff I can't find anywhere else. Maybe someone who is in there has a similar tree to me.

Mowed all yesterday, so nothing much to add at present.

I have used tribal pages before....I was lucky enough to get some photos from there of some ancestors I had only known by name.

I think finding the pictures was more exciting than just names......it brings them to life for you.
