At what age is it okay for a sleep over?

For your son/daughter to allow their partners to spend the night (same bed) in your family home?

Same rules for both boys and girls in our home. Any sleepovers/parties were conducted with separate sleeping arrangements.

😐

Step daughter moved in with her boyfriend at sixteen. She is now almost nineteen and they are still together. Step son sixteen has never had a girl stay over and he has never stayed at her place but he has managed to get her pregnant and they want to keep it .

Turning the question around....would you expect your adult child to allow you to stay in their home with a new partner?

This was raised a few months ago when a young friends mother was coming to stay from interstate with her newish boyfriend.

it would  depend on the individual child and the type of relationship they had with their partner, but no younger than 16

Such is life.

Mine are 21 and have respected our feelings, not one sleep over either way.
