I heard on the news another 2 Australians died in Bali. Why do Australians go there? We have better places to holiday at right here at home!
We have great food, fantastic beaches and many beautiful places to go to so why do Aussies feel the need to go to third world countries when we have everything here?
We are fortunate to have the best of everything why risk it all in a country with standards far below ours.
If I were given free flights + free cash to go to Bali I would decline! No way would I go there under any circumstances.
Support Australian jobs.
Support our economy.
Spend your money here.
Holiday our wonderful country.
How many more Australians have to die over there before people wake up?

What is the truth they are covering up?
They have sent the medicines in for testing.. the Indonesian police haven't declared any cause of death and they won't be, because the autopsies will be done in Australia.

Ah yes. But if the family don't like what's found and ask for privacy,
then no-one will ever know
Why would that matter then, if foul play, suspiciious circumstances around the death are 100% ruled out.
If the deaths were caused by, for example, some medicines the two chose to take by their own free will and they died because of it.. why do the public need to know that?
They only need to know that there was no other persons involved in their death.

I'm not seeing a cover up either. The drugs found will be tested for when the autopsy is done in Australia. Unless some are thinking they were drugged on purpose?
If she purchased any on credit card there will be proof anyway.

These deaths are a terrible tragedy, and I would hate to think they died due
to self-medication. I think a 14 yo has no free will in this case. With her mother
being a nurse, she would do what she was told, I believe.
If it was self administered, I think the family would find that harder to come to
terms with

It's hard to know what's fact from media reports...though from what I have read I think that the family find the food allergy from the fish and the speed with which the resturant owners were keen to say it's not our fish ,others ate it too a bit disconcerting and to me it seems a bold statement (the brother is reported as thinking this too ?) as though their reputation is very important to them...it also leaves out the fact that they ate smaller fishy things, had drinks and desserts etc.The family are reported as saying they know of no food allergies either Mother or daughter had as well as that any medication found in their room would be just standard medication that neither took medication regularly.
If I was them I would have doubts .
Would the reputation of businesses and people associated with businesses be worth someone trying to administer any or many kind of anti allergy meds ?

If the family knew the mother and daughter didn't have any allergies then why was injectable anti-histamine found among their possessions? That's a little over kill. And why was one of the asthma inhalers expired? (2007). I'm a slacker when it comes to medicines and their expiry dates but I do check the exp date on my inhaler. My life may depend on it one day.
It all sounds very odd but very very sad.

I hope that it can be done in QLD for the peace of mind of the family .

If I was trying to help someone myself ..and they couldn't swollow or keep anything down
I'd be given them anything which 'could' help and injectable would be the best way especially if airways are becoming blocked and/or the pt can't keep anything down.

The Courier-Mail reports the drugs include three anti-allergens, a strip of antihistamine tablets, paracetamol, eye and ear drops, anti-nausea and stomach drugs, asthma medications, a sedative and an antidepressant.
When you go overseas, you are suppose to have a letter from your doctor, stating what medication you are on, including over the counter medication........did she not have this letter?

That is only for 'controlled (under a regulation)' medicines purple isn't it?
