Well I suppose it had to happen.
Barnaby Joyce announced his resignation at 2pm today.
I haven't caught up with the fall out, yet. It will be over all the news programs tonight..
Tony Abbott is still opening his mouth....I will be happy if he just shuts up for a little while!
If I were Malcolm Turnbull I may stay overseas for a bit longer!!

To get back on track -
Nationals officials were warned of an impending "avalanche of allegations" about Barnaby Joyce and were expecting so many women to complain some MPs considered asking a former governor to hold an inquiry.
New documents obtained by Fairfax Media show former WA Nationals leader Terry Redman delivered the warning days before a formal complaint against Mr Joyce was actually lodged, forcing the former deputy prime minister's resignation from cabinet.

@imastawkawrote:
I'm not sure I agree! The top wire on the "left" is giving the victory sign, while the lower "right" looks deflated and pathetic. But then maybe I'm looking from the wrong side of the fence. Sorry...

Nick did a great job in representing S.A as a federal senator. He had the luxury of picking the occasional policy to support or reject and was able to get across the detail. The problem he has now is that he has to be across the full spectrum of policy which is simply impossible for one man. He has a whole bunch of newby political asspirants, but most have very little experience and are basically gagged as Nick is the only mouth piece and policy adviser for the party.
Hes got no hope of really being effective, especially when he wont allow any of his party say or do anything.

like so many who decide to create their own partys they soon discover they cant control their deciples mouths.
it'll be nicks downfall.
