bpuppy I'm so sorry your hurting for your BFF. 😞 It is tragic, cancer is tragic and for such a young woman with very young children to have to face this ... ((( hugss )). This thread is here for you and we are here for you.


cristina 2 weeks is very early days and yes it does affect you physically as well as emotionally. It's a terrible shock to suddenly realise the one person who should be protecting you and loving you could turn into this 'stranger'.

I also couldn't eat for the first few weeks. I felt nauseous all the time and I had to remind myself to drink. Your mind constantly thinks about 'them' and sleep .. well pffttt ..

I found the Surviving Infidelity site very helpful. There is the Just Found Out section. It seems all of us (Betrayed Spouse) experience very similar reactions.

It's not about you, his affair is NOT about you and it is not your fault. Something is broken in your husband, usually low-self esteem, an inability to put in the work to fix what was wrong. He had many options but he chose the 'easy' one. It's easy to have an affair because it's instant 'excitement', a dose of the feel good chemical.

We are also here for you and it does get better. ((hugss))

I dreamt about nonads last night. 😞 We were in bed and he clasped my hand to his chest, as he used to when he 'loved' me. But I didn't wake up crying. Just sad.

But a friend is coming over this afternoon and I'm getting on with my day. 😄
