Seems like a lot of you are missing the point of the thread.

Let's look at it from another perspective. What would Jesus do? Would he want everyone to be happy?

Yes.. everyone deserves to be happy... maybe if they were happier they would not have committed crimes that might make us think they don't deserve happiness. 

And I think people deserve a true happiness... not one gained via external means... 

I have never been happier and I think that everyone deserves to feel this way... after over a decade of not being happy because of clinical depression I honestly would not wish that on anyone... everyone deserves to feel happy.

I've always wondered if for you to be happy, someone else somewhere(directly/indrectly) has to suffer and be unhappy??

Oh.. ok.. I get it now... 

other peoples happiness is not on my mind daily... their happiness is not up to me... 

BUT... I would never do anything to intentionally make anyone unhappy.

i suppose we can only be grateful & thank our lucky stars a huge meteor collided with earth approximately 65 million years ago that wiped out approximately 70% of life which gave us a chance to evolve and ponder the meaning of life!
