I have had second thoughtds about this................ the headline is still disgraceful....... but at least we are seeing the victims pics and name this time, not much being shown about the piece of scum that committed the crime.
Let's hope his notoriety is zero.

The head of a publishing empire would rely on his minions to look after remote little outposts like Brisbane Queenland Australia.
But ultimately he is responsible. Heads should be rolling all the way to the top for allowing people with so little sense of decency to be in charge. But then, we are talking about organisation that did hack into kidnapped girl's phone. and could not see a problem with it.

I don't believe he knows every single headline of every single newspaper on evey single day in every single part of the word.
He doesn't have to. He sets the guidelines and his editors do what is expected of them.
I'm sure he was quite deliberately unaware of every single thing that went on at the News Of The World. Does that mean the blame for that sordid affair does not ultimately lie with him?
With great power comes (or should come) great responsibility
Rubbish. The content and the headlines of a news publication are the responsibilty of the editor.
While I understand and even share your distaste of Mr Murdoch, to attribute the blame for this despicable headline to him is just pushing a certain poster's political bandwagon.
See post 9.
Because he's seen to be a supporter of the Abbott government.

so, what happened?
I saw this headline and thought it was pushing that new TV show that's being advertised. The one where they are marrying complete strangers.

Would you please stop with the stupid accusations. This thread has nothing to do with Abbott, is not related to Abbott in any way and it is lousy form to bring Abbott into it and continue to argue about why it was posted.
AS THE OP, I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THIS THREAD IS NOT IN ANYWAY ABOUT ABBOTT! Please keep your personal politics out of it and stop telling others what my motives were because your assumptions are very wrong.
It is not rubbish. Murdoch is well known to take particular interest in the approach taken by his papers, including the inflammatory/derogatory headlines and front pages. He sends staff to election zones to pursue his political agenda. He thinks it is his right to interfere and influence policy wherever he sees a benefit to himself.
His staff argued to the Senate that their loss making ventures are for reasons of idealogical/political influence not tax avoidance.

What is wrong with you?
Have you no shame or sensitivity?
A young woman was murdered days before her wedding.

I knew nothing of anyone being murdered! As I said above, I saw the headline "Fairy Tale Turns Nightmare - Bride and Seek" while walking past the local Newsagents and thought immediately of the ad I saw last night on TV about the new show that is coming up.
Hang On while I go and slash my wrists for being shameless and insensitive and failing psychic studies at school.
