My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Sooo envious of those who got to have a lazy day Smiley Indifferent

OH and I are down south renovating... yesterday was mostly about finding which new carpet we wanted (got a good one in the third place we went  - its just grey with whitish flecks but looks good with the new grey paint), plus some repairing of dents and holes etc in the walls... there are hundreds of them as the place has been tenanted for the last 8 years with family groups with young children. The last lot hid 3 HUGE holes behind furniture every time we did an inspection, but they did repair them before moving out.

Today we sanded and sanded and sanded.... the trims are now ready for painting in 5 rooms.

And we did the first coat of paint in the huge loungeroom, entry hall, 3rd bedroom and the hallway.

I'm shattered!

Tomorrow we are going to check out some kitchen places, but not in a hurry for that just yet.

Hope my garden is surviving up north..

Re: My day

Wow B3 you have been busy .... Dont these people control their kids? Some people just seem to like like pigs and not care about anything, no respect at all 😞

My painting plans are "on hold" for now, we decided to revamp the front garden/ repair the shadehouse instead,soI will have to live with my hot pink lounge room walls for a little longer.

Aren't renos fun? lol

*******I'm Singing In The Rain********

Sitting inside looking out at the glorious rain.  The indoor plants are out getting a wash.

Quite a deluge at 5.00am.  All birdbaths, watergardens, and troughs are filled to the brim.

Good morning Bushie, b3, lurker and those MIA.  Hope the day presents as few troubles as possible.

Nothing on the agenda for me.  Of course there are things to be done - if I want to do them.  But guess what, I don't want to.**stamps foot**

Trouble is, I know that I'll get bored.  Could pull out the sewing machine, could wash the inside of the windows.  Lots of things.  Just have to be inspired.

Or.....I'll watch some dominoe youtubes.

To the soon-to-be nana....Lurker

Build up the left-arm upper muscles to hold a baby for a prolonged 5 minutes.  It is quite surprising how the arm can ache when you're not used to it.

Start a toy box. Children's book shelf.

Have spare changes of clothes.

"I'm a nana now" neck exercises, to alleviate the head-held-high affliction that accompanies announcements of that fact.
