Nigella Lawson - Gross Invasion of Privacy

Do you think these pictures of Nigella Lawson should have been published?

I see it as a gross invasion of privacy, and i'm stunned that the photographer felt it more appropriate to take pictures, than to ask her if she was ok.

No, he may not have been applying that much pressure. If she thought he was strangling her wouldn't she call out or try to run away. What he did may have been threatening but not actually doing it.

He smokes, which is why they sit at outside tables when eating out. Her first husband died of throat cancer.

She was very upset when walking out of the restaurant and to the car. In a UK news story, it said he stormed off before she left the restaurant.

Whatever he was doing/saying it upset her imo.

They might having been having a domestic over his smoking.

I wonder what made him become reclusive? He doesn't go to the opening of his  exhibitions he puts on and it is reported  used to hide from his clients when he was in advertising.

For goodness sakes people X-(

Personally I'm all for the photo's being published. Not for entertainment.

Clearly Nigella was distressed. There are photo's of her in tears. Helloooo? This was not foreplay or some kinky thing happening and it's an insult to play down what is clearly shown in the photo's - a threatening and humiliating form of abusive.

I know what it's like to be abused in public. It's horrifying and you do your best to try to downplay the horror so people won't stare at you or feel sorry for you or get involved. It's a shame thing. You try to calm the abuser down, you offer them affection even though the thought makes you sick to your stomach. Then when it's over you can't stop shaking.

Her husband's gesture of putting his hands around her throat was to 'put her in her place', shut her up (grasping her throat) and make sure she knows who has the power.

If he can do that to her in public then what is he capable of doing behind closed doors.

Publish the photo's if it will give Nigella the push to kick him to the kerb.

Good points there. It was reported that she was trying to get him to calm down.

Also another link I posted above, last Dec, there is a photo where he put his hand over her mouth in public.. to shut her up again?. I think since that photo was published the media/photographers are taking a special interest in them.. to see what else they can get.

Well no, it should have been him leaving with a suitcase.  Unless it is his house.

GROAN....why is our world so superficial these days?....they have to go around annoying people for news?....blimey - forget the facts, speculation is more interesting.

I was watching the news this morning & even the ABC over-rides and creates news that isn't news........e.g. they & every other news outlet keep droning on about the leadership challenge on both sides and asking the same question over and over again, even if the interview has nothing to do with that........

It's like self fulfilling prophecy...if they say something long enough they'll make it happen, and often do.

I'm SICK of news media = this is the kind of rubbish they consider newsworthy?...Oh and Shane Warnes' latest selfie?.....shoot me

While ever there are camera phones in someone's pocket there will be photos taken of anything news worthy.

Keep it nice, I might cry if you write anything upsetting (like not)

Any Man that does what he did should be named and shamed.
