Woolies HQ have said it's from Tues to Friday. for a trial.

But you can get your pension payday changed to what suits you.

We changed ours to Wednesdays.

There were always too many getting their shopping done on Thursdays - Age/Invalid/Unemployed all at once.

Regardless of what WW have stated, the Hamilton store told me they will only be opening early on Tues morn ( feel free to ph 'em check if you wish )

Bit late to change ya pension date to tomorrow lol

Yes, the Seniors card is a NSW government card which does not qualify for the shopping hour.  It does not give any Commonweath concessions.

The FEDERAL government Seniors Health Care card is the one that does qualify.

I am not on any Commonwealth benefits, especially not a pension but I am in my mid 70s and do have to eat.

My whinge is not that I want anything from the government but that getting access to this shopping hour should not be dependent on being on benefits of any sort if you are elderly.

The thing that hasn't been accounted for - are peeps who are unable to go fetch.

Lyndal, absolutely right. Proof of age should be all that is required and even that would only require just looking at someone

I take my Mum grocery shopping weekly since she had a fall and was hospitalized for some weeks.

Since the virus though, my sister insists she stays put, as to lessen exposure and I agree, so this week is out. So, I'm thinking I will be doing the shopping by myself,

but have to compete with shelves that are stripped and can't get a lot of what she might need?

True, but those people would qualify as disabled no matter what their age.

If people can qualify on age alone then the proof needed should be a proof of age only not proof of any other benefits being received.
