I've been rinsing my clothes in vinegar for years.
Never had a problem
Besides that, how is it that it's a food product if it burns holes?

Stockings? Not since pantyhose came in thanks lol.
I wear pantyhose to work everyday, with my work outfits.
Weekends I wear jeans, no socks or stockings. Winter I might wear anklets or footlets for a bit of extra warmth.
Never have any problems with static. I always use fabric softener in the final rinse.

As a bank robber I and my accomplice share a pair of black ultra sheer tockings, we prefer the suspender type as the self hold up ones tend to be too tight around the throat, restricting the airway.
