A frequent occurrence with right-wing conservatives..........Bush #1 famously quoted, "Read my lips, no new taxes".
Within months he reneged on his promise.

The CIA will probably take him out eventually
The thing is if that happens look what we will have instead. Trump is scary, but Pence is terrifying.

No it wasn't me. I find it much better to leave discriminatory posts up where everyone can see them and who made the comments.
If you care to trawl through the 1500 odd previous posts I have made, you may be surprised to learn that both myself and other family members have a long history of working in both the education and health sectors. This currently includes two teachers who specialise in working in remote indigenous communities, another teacher who chooses to work in one of the most economically disadvantaged schools in Australia and another education professional who has served the industry for many years as the president of his respective state teachers union.
As noted in previous posts, my sister works in the field of indigenous health, having in the past run shelters for abused indigenous woman and until recently retiring, was a regional director and policy adviser to government on indigenous women's health.
My teenage daughter has recently completed an exchange programme with a remote indigenous school as part of her desire to become a teacher specialising in indigenous education..
As noted in previous posts, I have also spent around a decade working in various roles in the education sector. One of my duties was to act as the equal opportunities representative on assessment panels for applicants for positions of promotion and career advancement. Through this position, I had the pleasure to meet some very talented, dedicated teaching professionals who would go on to be an inspiration to students and co-workers. Unfortunately I also saw " the others " . Tired, bigoted, arrogant old fools who believed a teachers degree somehow made them superior to everyone else.
It goes without saying that these teachers never advanced very far in the schools that I worked with, often retiring early or moving on to other locations.
What has all of this got to do with the Trump victory. Social justice issues played an important role in Trump finding a constituency and ultimately gaining presidency. The gap between rich and poor in America is widening as it is here in Australia. There are many highly intelligent, capable, passionate individuals who will never have the opportunity to gain an education or professional career, simply through accident of birth.
Being born into a socially disadvantaged community or ethnic minority should not be reason for discrimination by those within the professions. The condescending, arrogant comments of some within the Clinton camp including the now famous " basket of deplorables" quip played an important role in rallying suppressed minorities into attending the polling booths and voting for Trump.
We are seeing a similar attitude here in Australia. The rather unfortunate recent comments of some posters to these boards not only show discrimination, ignorance and arrogance, they also damage the reputations of the many talented, compassionate people working in the profession's that they claim to be a part of.
Anyway its time to leave the children to squabble in their little sand pit out the back. I,ve got adult work to do

Maybe in your world, but in the real world, at last count, Clinton has over 400,000 more votes than Trump.
HRC lost because of all the ridiculous lies told about her. She lost because people actually believe that she had killed inconvenient people, they hold against her that she defended man charged with rape, they blame her for Benghazi despite that secretary of state is not responsible for security of foreign missions (Congress allots the money to use for Embassy security, and Clinton asked for more money). They say she is 'crooked" while Trump is about to face court for racketeering and fraud? His charitable fund has been found to be just a front for money laundering, but they call Clinton Foundation with top rating, fraud. And those damn emails; millions were spent investigating her, and NOTHING was ever found. She has been under investigation for 30 years; she knows she cannot make a step wrong, so the GOP and FBI just manufactured scandals. Not to mention that dozens of anti Hillary sites were somewhere in Yugoslavia (or around that part of the world), and Russia is very pleased with the result. How can anybody who cannot get a loan from American bank, and had to borrow from Russia and even more from China, be even allowed to run for president?

The fact that Hiliary is pro-abortion can account for some of the swing towards Trump. Mind you Trump has never said that he is anti-abortion as far as I know. I guess that many of his supporters just assumed that saying nothing was the same as opposing the opposition's view. They aren't very deep thinkers apparently. lol
HRC is for choice, she is also for making contraception available & affordable to all. That would severely reduce the need for abortion for unwanted pregnancies. But what they attacked her with that she supports late term pregnancy, an some of these idiots actually believe that woman carrying healthy baby can decide in the 9th month that she actually does not ant it, and decides to have an abortion.
Of-course, late abortion are only done if the fetus is not viable and there is a threat to the woman's life. At present in some states, she has to go to court to get permission. Some so called "pro-lifers" actually believe that woman has to go through with the pregnancy does not matter what circumstances. Even if she is carrying brain dead fetus that may kill her, and she has other small children that need her.

What on earth would make you think Mlor meant you?
Only one id on these boards can be defined by 'cold' IMO

The "pro-life" folks are actually "pro-birth". Once the fetus makes it down the birth canal and sees the light of day, they could give a rat's patoot what happens to it. In fact, it gives them an opportunity for holier-than-thou comments like, "That'll teach you to keep your legs together", and "Another wefare baby"........ Few of them are interested in adopting an unwanted baby.
