As you get older?
I hate wearing glasses, they are never clean and I can't look through the buggers.

Catmad..........Oh and me going walking every day to keep fit, I think it is better when it is not so hot, been hot here in Melbourne and still is. Once the cooler weather is here, I think my energy levels will be better.

Arthritis of the fingers & wrists, a real bummer when I like to type all the time, have had to drop my eBay listings to a minimum. Of course everyone knows that OS is genetic but I don’t think thumping away at those old manual typewriters helped a great deal and then of course there was the dreaded telex machine.
Wrinkles (gravity takes over), floaters in my left eye but I only wear glasses for reading, otherwise I feel fine and very content with my life, especially when O/H has to wash and dry my hair for me, now that’s a real bonus. 😉

On a related note I hate the looks I get from some people ,especaly older ,when I need the lift not the stairs at the railway station ..I look young about 25 and although generaly I see it as good iv been told off a few times for using the lift X-(

I need glasses to read and tonight I ran out of reading glasses and couldn't find another pair anywhere but just happened to glance a sight of me in a mirror in the laundry and noticed I had 3 pairs on top of my head.
But on the upside, I could still see the reflection in the mirror.:^O
I have knee injury that could have happened at any age but it happened 18 months ago and I haven't been able to kneel on that knee since and I do find it very restriciting on what I do.
Even though I am way too fat I have always been able to get up and down off the floor by kneeling on my knees and then standing.
I have really noticed the restricted movement since I adopted a cat in December, I can't get down on the floor to play with him and I really miss that sort of silly nonsense.

the perception from others that you are older, even when you don't feel you are

I hate that it takes me so long to recover after a night out drinking. 😞

By the way, what is "middle age"?
I am 55 and don't think I will live to 110 so I am past my middle age but what is considered middle age these days?
My mother is well into her 80s and she once said that when she was in her 30s she was considered middle aged. But her current age would make middle age about 45.
So many seem to live well into their 80s and 90s these days so it looks like middle age will soon be 50 and increasing.

The pain killers I need to get me out the door for a night out drinking mean that I can't drink!!!:_|
