The birds followed me to the shops again, today...

I've threatened to give them five dollars, a shopping bag and a nice note politely asking the staff for their help in getting whatever it is that I forgot to get last time... ha ha.

Well, they can't say they don't know their way there, ha ha.

I can see what's going to happen when they encounter the sliding doors...

Surprise, at first...

Closely followed by the observation that if you go close to  the doors, they open, and if you back away, they close...

New Game!!!

They'll pass an easy half an hour in a state of childish amusement "playing" with the doors...

I'm not going to get my whatever it was that I forgot last time, am I?

Thursday...

I miss him.

I miss the simple gestures of of friendship.

Every month for a few days I am treated to watching the moon rise, from the kitchen window.

But if I want to see the stars, I have to walk outside, around and across and across a little more... ha ha.

These last few nights I've stood in the kitchen and there in plain view is a star, burning brightly...

Maybe it's Mars, I hear it's in that quadrant at the moment.... ha ha.

However fanciful an explanation it may be, perhaps that bright star is my friend, smiling upon me...

There's something to note...

From the case of the car thief who crashed the car, then took off on foot across a cow paddock, only to find herself being pursued by the cows...

"When she first entered the pasture, the suspect was crouching, which probably didn't help - that posture comes across as threatening to cows".

So now you know... Stand tall, or better still, give the cows a wide berth, ha ha.

I got chased by cows when I was 3 yo.   Gawd they're big when you're only 3.

Been scared of 'em ever since.

But not chooks.......roosters, yes, but not chooks.
