Dear Ebay, I just refunded Ebay buyer a purchase cancellation refund request for ebay item The full purchase price refund of $199 AUD was paid back to the purchaser from my existing Paypal balance. His request to cancel came with no explanation or reason given for cancellation, however was still granted graciously, and yet to my dismay with no forwarning from Ebay, sad to say, the $5.47 Paypal transaction fee was not refunded to my account through the cancellation process. It would have been the right thing to do for Ebay I feel, to have in big blazing red highlighted writing the forwarning that Paypal transaction fees are not refunded when making refund on cancelled orders. this would have saved me the mistake of making a full refund with no fault my own inherent and being left short $5.47 no fault my own. Sad to say out of pocket with no fault my own for something I could have been easily forwarned of by Ebay. Please ammend your cancelltion blurb to include the notice of Paypal best practice of Highway Robbery. Thankyou. Sincerely, Trevor Taylor, fancy_tote ☹
