I suppose eBay have gone through their phases of if and why and how they will remove feedback.
I am sure that I remember instances at one point where replies to negative feedback remained even when the negative feedback comment was removed... Was it when the feedback comment itself contained profanities or something libellous?
If the feedback in its entirety - red dot, "I'm not happy" comment, etc. - was excised, perhaps that is when feedback replies were also removed.
(I can't recall exactly, though.)
One thing is certain: eBay very definitely consider that some animals are more equal than others.

But it seems the OP has had her neg and reply removed.
I'm glad you confirmed this as I had a look and couldn't see anything at all either.
So that's good news for kitty kat.
From what was written in one of the opening posts, I think the buyer shot herself in the foot early on, by saying only a clown would wear the shoes and she would be laughed out of the office.
That's not a comment about a fault, it's a judgement about a style. Probably someone she knows gave these shoes a big thumbs down after they arrived and she had second thoughts herself, so it is a change of mind, not an item not as described.
Even though I can't see the feedback or reply, I'd just add that I agree with (I think DG?). From the point of view of a buyer, if a seller is going to give a follow up reply, it is more informative to say what you as seller did eg offered a return, offered a refund rather than to just be critical of the buyer. Most buyers know problems sometimes happen, so it is interesting for them to know how you handle it.

How are these in any way 'clown shoes'?
I'm glad the neg was removed and the buyer loses.

Very much in the style of Duchess of Cambridge (Kate) and her 'nude pumps'. If only I could wear heels....

I don't think they are clown shoes, they are very elegant.
But you'll have to forgive my investigative skills as I couldn't see the feedback and never thought to look further into it, although I must admit I was very curious. So I am glad you showed the photo.
Clown shoes indeed. Mind you, I think they'd kill me if I had to wear them all day in an office, but then again, I would not have bought them for work.
I am glad the buyer lost too, she sounded a bit psycho, which is a bit of a loose term but that is how her exchanges struck me.

Springy, I put the pic up for future reference, so everybody could see what they looked like.
Now that the feedback has been removed, it's a bit hard to figure out what shoes they were.
I think they're lovely shoes, too

I followed the feedback (when it was still there) to see the shoes and that was not what came up.....What I found could well be described as clown shoes....they were platform soled stillettos with instep straps that really did look like Minnie Mouse shoes. I would not have bought them in the first place so thought it a bit unfair of the buyer to blame the seller.

The nude pumps is what came up for me in feedback.
Do you mean these ones, Lyndal?
Maybe OP can enlighten us.
Not clown shoes either, IMO

No stawks, not those either.....and I would not class those as clown shoes.
I can't copy and paste but I did find the same shoes.....item number 371963729220.
Maybe not clown shoes but very much Minnie Mouse shoes.
