My handling time is 5 days and I mention in my listings that items will be posted within 5 days of cleared payment and then in brackets (usually posted within 24 hours). More often than not I post same or next day so it's a lovely surprise for the buyer when it arrives before the first estimate date.

Sorry, best get your screen resolution checked if you see that jacket as black, it is 100% grey. If I had purchased that jacket as black, I would be opening a case INAD and would expect to win hands down. This is where most of us feel for the seller, anyone could make that grey look black by taking a pic in low light, then making a false claim on an honest seller, with Ebay only looking at the fake evidence that the buyer puts up, stuff the seller, they need Ebay to sell, they will be back like lambs to the slaughter. Well, only yesterday I got an email from a very large Aussie seller who I have purchased many items from, and they have started their own direct web site, giving Ebay the big miss due to the current issues. I say good on them, even if it does mean that they are bypassing the Ebay system, it will be more of a happening thing.

I used to have such brackets, but it seemed to result in, "CAN YOU POST MY ITEM TODAY PLS???" messages, as if they thought that I might opt to post their item in 3 days time just for the hell of it.
As I recall, many of these messages were received on . . . Sundays.

Some are very impatient. I had one person buy and pay on the Saturday night. I got a vile abusive email on the Sunday afternoon demanding to know why their item hadn't arrived yet. I replied with "I'm sorry I couldn't get a flight at short notice between Sydney and Perth. All airlines were booked out. If I had known you wanted it before you even bought it, I would have got my sister, who is a witch, to zap it over to you. My most humblest apologies". I got no reply, then got glowing feedback and 5 stars a week later.

ok ok...calm ya farm, people..... the colour is hardly worth having a full scale debate about it... like I said, my eyesight is diminished atm... and honestly, I couldn't give a rats behind if its black, grey or bleeding purple, but you all say its DEFINITELY GREY so therefore, its grey!
I still stand by my opinion of possibly describing it as dark grey, in future listings, if it ever comes back to you
you know... something like... the colour is Dark grey, NOT BLACK, ITS GREY!
Jokes aside, I hope the OP wins their case, and is not forced to refund by silly eBay rulings.
@stawks.... first eye is being done early December.
cheers folks
