Who is sick and tired of buyers not paying for their items and nothing being done about it.They waste the sellers time and effort and there are no consequences for this. These time wasters should be suspended from ebay.Ebay has everything stacked against the seller, you can't even leave a negative feedback against them. What can we do to make Ebay change this?.

Hi, blueribbon, did you click the first or the second option?
If the first, you can close the transaction after 4 days (to the minute, from starting it) and eBay will credit you the FVF. Then you can contact eBay to have the negative feedback removed.
If you clicked the 2nd option, unfortunately, negative feedback is still able to be left by the buyer.

Totally agree. It seems Ebay is only worried about what benefits Ebay the most,ie stacking the postage cost on top of the final sale price etc.I think a huge wake up call is needed to remind this company that if they don't look after-protect their sellers, they will miss out in the long run,as sellers are slowly migrating to other free sites like Gumtree etc.I have had well seasoned ebayers that have not bothered to pay for their item, not just newbies.

FYI gumtree is owned by ebay

I have one of 'those' right now. No contact of any kind after the auction. When I look at her (supposedly) positive feedbacks I see that a number of unfortunate sellers have used the only way they can to warn other sellers: The 'positive' feedbacks are mainly warnings about this buyer never paying or completing, or changing her mind after the auction. Maybe they haven't reported her as a NPB, I don't know. Of course if I'd looked at her 'positive' feedbacks before the auction ended I would've possibly cancelled her bid. But you can't look at them all. Dumb mistake for someone with over 1000 feedbacks I guess! I'll be looking more closely in future. But she's obviously a serial pest and trying to get eBay to do anything would be a waste of time. Get one complaint about a seller though - wow, all hell breaks loose. Threats and warning emails all over the place. Sellers are just the people who send eBay money. Buyers are perfect little angels according to eBay. In answer to the question "Which came first, the buyer or the seller?" My answer is 'the seller' every time. Otherwise the buyer would have nothing to buy. Try telling ebay that.

Out of curiosity, did you have the strictest block in place?
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 12 Month(s)
If so, then it seems like many of those sellers did not go through the dispute process (wish they would) or that the buyer has been able to get the strikes removed somehow. If I didn't have all of the strictest blocks in place, I don't think I could survive on eBay. There are just too many people who don't read, who don't realise that the 2nd screen of 'BIN' means they have 'bought/purchased', and still need to pay, and who don't respect other people's time.
My life on eBay has been heaps easier since putting all of the available blocks in place.

That is really helpful.
Did you have to drag up a FOUR YEAR old thread to add that non-information?
Btw nobody forces you to use eBay

Totally agree
I had this one guy who did it to me twice and ebay are totally useless. All they wanna do is take as much money from you as they can. Very frustrating

eBay give you options. An option for you would be to not drag up a TEN YEAR old thread to add nothing useful.

if a buyer does not pay you should put them on your blocked buyer list and cancel any current bids they have.
Don't pay me once ... shame on you.
Don't pay me twice ... shame on me.
