There is a scam that I have been burnt with and ebay is a part of.
We sold am item to the US from Australia, the purchaser paid surface shipping, (8 weeks), Australia Post doesn't offer tracking at this cost, buyer tells ebay hasn't been recieved, ebay givens them their money back and back charges you. I have proof of postage, reciept & photo of item after stamps etc affixed, but ebay didn't give a rats.
eaby customer service runs from scripts and when you say something not on the script, or prove them wrong, they ignore you.
SO BE AWARE DO NOT SHIP ANYTHIG WITHOUT TRACKING NUMBER, EVEN IF YOU LOSS THE SALE
EBAY DOES NOT CARE WHAT YOUR HISTORY IS, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG

If you don't want to pay for insurance or tracking you have 3 options.
1) Don't sell on line, or make all sales pick up only.
2) Add the price of postage and tracking into your selling price.
3) Cross your fingers that the item doesn't go astray and that the buyer is honest.
Why should eBay care, they are only providing a platform to introduce buyers to sellers, they get approximately 10% for this.

Ebay put the postage into the total at the surface rate with no insurance or tracking, buyer paid for it as soon as it was over.
I had photos os the reciept and the item being posted, ebay didnt care

So after doing it for 13 years I have been doing it wrong?
How do you add the price in when you dont know where it is being shipped to? Thats a dumb statement.
What ever happened to buyer beware?
I have a 100% feedback.
No what I am mad about is that ebay didnt even what to know what had happened, they just decided to give the buyer the money back, ebay put the shipping pric onto the purchase price, thats what the buyer paid for, they stuffed up there and didnt even want to discuss it.

Ebay doesn't set the postage....that is up to the seller to either have flat rate or calculated postage.

49 fb as a seller in 13 years is hardly experienced IMO
You need to stop selling o'seas if you can't figure it out
I also noticed a fb that said the APost tracking didn't work
If you just drop them in the red box, that's not tracking.
They need to be lodged over the counter.
So many rules have been implemented in those 13 years,
You need to read up on them apparently
I'll repeat what others have said - no scam here

Or "International buyers please reqest a shiping price before purchasing" in your description or payment conditions (neither of which will probably be read) and don't automaticall yy post international.
That way they have to contact seller for pricing before they can buy.
Ps: I didn't think AP offered surface mail any more?

Well apparently you have never posted overseas, and if you had read my post you would have seen that is said I photo of the reciept and of the parcel with postage and all the stickers on it,, ebay stuffed up, they adised the buyer that the shipping was $29.70 for air which it was not, see the attachement, but because of ebays stuff up, yes your employer I am expected to pay, well I know one thing, no two things, one they will never get a cent and two I will bad mouth them every day untill they wake up to themselves and stop treating people with contempt

No one reads that information, I have sold items that have required trucks to pick up and had people ask for posting.
Yes they do offer it.
ebay put a price of the shipping into the add, which was incorrect, which we never picked up on and unfortunatly I can attach a screen shot of it, but will put on the facebook page
on 31-12-2015 04:14 PM
Incorrect, ebay puts postage into the add and into the final price once the austion has finished, I have screen shots of both these deatils but cant put them on here, will put themn onto the ebay Facebook page
