I want to bulk edit all my auctions to add a line to my descriptions warning of delivery delays to the COVID 19 pandemic. eBay will not allow any mention of the pandemic and will not even allow "due to the current situation" or "current circumstances". I have not been able to find any wording which eBay would allow. Already I have a buyer in another country complaining that his purchase has not arrived. Any suggestions as to how I can add a line which conveys what I am trying to say?

"Please note: Items being posted to your location could take longer than the eBay estimate. Please be patient".
Or, you could increase your handling time to say 10 days, to fatten out the estimate dates. I'd be doing that.

I have overcome the above problem by adding the line "Delivery may be delayed over the next few months". This is not ideal but I assume that people willknow what I am referring to. Unfortunately the line appears at the bottom of my listing whereas I would prefer it to appear at the top. Can I do this?
I would have thought that eBay would be sophisticated enough to recognize when someone was trying to advertise a COVID19 product and when he was not. eBay will also not allow me to show "Western Union" as a song on a record or CD so I have to show it as W****e*r* *ni** or similar. Pretty poor algorithm!

Add it to the top of the description then. I have been able to add things to the top of my descriptions plenty of times.

One at a time.
If OP wants to bulk edit, it will put the line at the bottom.

One phrase that works for me is " Virus pandemic "... ie. Please Note Due to the current virus pandemic, buyers can expect signifigant delays in postal delivery.

You don't get the option of putting the line at the top when you bulk edit (at least I don't see the option). I don't want to edit auctions one at a time as I have an awful lot of them.

Be prepared for future events of this nature. That is 'delayed shipping'.
In all your furture listings just add a line at the start of all your listing.
Something as simple as "Hi, I hope you have fun shopping with us".
In the future you will be able to do a bulk edit using Find and Replace.
You already have some standard text.
Check out my other items! You can also see more auctions here I list 40 new items each month
Maybe you can do a bulk edit of your html.

You may find the solution in a similar thread below useful - I've also used this method to add in a notice at the top of my listings - it's not a fast bulk edit, but you can get through your listings a lot faster than if you edit them one by one outside of the bulk editor.
Select the listings you want to edit and go to the bulk editor.
Select all listings once that has loaded, click on Edit Fields, and then select item description.
When the next screen loads, you can keep it on standard or switch to HTML.
Select "edit listings individually" and you can basically just easily scroll through the descriptions of each listing that was loaded in to edit, one at a time.
When I did it, I just had what I wanted to include copied and just pasted it at the top of all my listings.

Thanks digital ghost
I followed your instructions and successfully added a line to all of my descriptions without much trouble.
