I sold a mobile phone for $890 but I'm seeing only $790 in my funds.

I don't know why $100 were taken off me. But what I can't understand is if this was the case. How come during my listing Ebay won't show the final breakdown? What are the fees cost for selling under Auction.

Thanks for replying.

If you go to help and search seller fees you will find what percentage they charge which is usually around 13%.

I don't understand why you were not shown the fees involved either

Certainly ought to be shown

You also listed it as 'brand new' when it is not brand new

I do understand why you waited until the negs dropped off to sell again though

Hopefully you are aware that also means eBay see you as a 'new seller' and will be holding your funds (quite possibly for longer than usual given your past seller history)

Assuming you have actually done all you need to to sign up for Managed Payments

The fees apply to everyone are are shown to everyone

Looks like I need a new calculator,  mine shows fees on $891  =  $119.70

When creating a listing, you verify that you have read and understand the T&C's, under which you are listing,

which happens to include relevant fees.

Yep, I had tried this morning and got the same result, assuming fees are 13.4%.

Viewing your fees and selling costs

You can view a detailed breakdown of how all transaction fees are charged for each order in Seller Hub or My eBay. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payments tab in Seller Hub or Payments in My eBay.
  2. Select All transactions.
  3. Find the order you’d like to view and select View.
  4. See the Fee details section.

The Fee details section shows the final value fee, and any other transaction fees due at the time of sale. Any final value fee promotions or discounts will also be visible.

This will no longer be the case for some refunds.
