Im really sure that Ebay should have Registered post as a mandorty selection if your selling something.
Your almost sure to lose the item by not sending it Registered!

Seriously tho, can sellers just start offering it? would make things a lot easier and smoother!

Me either, but i see it all over MyFace. I also see it on the news pages in their stories, which can make things hard to read. It links something to something, but I'm not quite sure what.

Seriously tho, can sellers just start offering it? would make things a lot easier and smoother!Sounds like you want ebay to make ALL your decisions for you, instead of using the brains you were given. Do you ask ebay what time to get up in the morning and what time to eat and what time to brush your teeth? Some of us prefer to make our own selling decisions because we have more experience in selling than ebay staff.
Perhaps ebay could make correct spelling mandatory.
WOW!
I think your post was belittling and uncalled for!
I'm suprised this coming for you, actually.

I thought the OP's suggestion that ebay should make all our decisions for us was belittling as it suggests that other sellers are completely incapable of thinking for themselves.

I have written in all my listings that if the buyer wants registered post, they have to tell me before I make up the invoice- I reckon I have
had 1 in the last 2 years. Buyers (and me usually) will always want the cheapest method of getting their stuff.
Of course Ebay would love to make registered mail compulsory, as that would give them something else to slug the seller for.

That's why they wont/can/t do it as prices would rise above what a buyer is willing to pay.
It would make most things that are sent by large letter rate to expensive to send.

They'd be the ones who are new and believe the BS about having to send everything with tracking.
Or they're lazy and do a one price fits all.

I may have misread Hunter's post, but as I understood it he was saying eBay should make it mandatory for sellers to have registered post as an OPTION. I'm all for using our brains and making our own buying decisions but we can't decided to pay for registered post if the seller doesn't offer it.
