Contact the buyer and give her the tracking number and tell her to go to her post office with the tracking number and for her to say that it is showing as having been delivered but has not been received by her and they should then instigate a search.

The tracking only shows delivered to the post office in the country town the buyer lives in. The thing it was addressed to a PO box at that very post office so it seems a little weird that the buyer hasn't received it.
I have sent the tracking details to the buyer but haven't heard back from them. I assume the post office is still open as they are in WA so hopefully we will get to the bottom of it today.

I have a PO box.
I received a parcel with tracking today, just as an exercise I checked online tracking
it says
Awaiting collection at xyz PO and then
Delivered
on the next line.

Ok so here is an update.
The buyer got back to me today to say that they went back to the post office today with the tracking number and the post office said that they don't have the package. I just find it bizarre because the package obviously arrived at that post office. It is a small country town of around 1600 people.
So, do I await Paypal contacting me with a dispute and then give them a copy of the receipt? Will this mean that the buyer can leave me neg feedback even though I have proof that I have posted the package and it arrived at their post office?
Thanks for all the help

Ring AP in the morning & lodge a missing parcel claim.
Surely to goodness it won't be hard for them to track down ??

Contact the buyer and tell them you will lodge a complaint with AP and that they may be sent a stat dec to sign to verify they have not got the item.
You will either not hear from them again or the package will be found or they might be legit.

Thanks so much for your help everyone.
I have lodged a missong parcel form with Aus Post and sent a message to the buyer (thanks sparkle). To tell you the truth I have been wondering whetherthey have maybe received it and aren't telling me. I also said I will call their post office tomorrow and ask about it.
So, I will update you all tomorrow with further details of this mystery. Where is Scooby Doo when you need him...lol

Hi There,
It is really worth the extra $3.20 to only send your items by Registered Post so they must sign for it. They cannot say they didn't get it. I clearly state in all my ad's the price of the parcel and the price of the Registered Post on top, I charge no extra like handling and I have not had any complaints, I think people realise it protects them also as it gives you $100 insurance coverage with Australia Post in case they lose it. I hope this helps.
Kind Regards

registered post os no longer available for domestic parcels.
The only option now is to pay $2.95 for a signature plus $1.50 for each $100 worth of insurance
The signature alone does not carry any insurance
