Listing violation

I am one very upset ebay seller.  today I had a pair of pre-owned Lorna jane shorts/tights with 33 watchers which was to end Tuesday night  removed by ebay as they advised the listing was against their listing  policy - " You listed used athletic wear or sportswear. Due to hygiene concerns, eBay does not permit the sale of used athletic wear. Please do not relist this item"

On a search of ladies sportwear there is 3218 pre-owned tights currently listed and 150 Lorna Jane pre- owned tights listed. This is a complete joke and ebay should not discriminate.  Their rules should be enforced for 100% Ebay members not just a select few. I advised ebay by phone today that  I am more than happy to comply with the rule if the other 3218 items were also removed. Of course they are all still listed and making a lot of money for ebay.  The funniest thing is but that I have another 2 x pairs of tights in different brands also listed and they have not removed them.

Has anyone else been discrimanated against with removal of items when there is already 1000's of them listed on ebay?

Re: Listing violation

It is not fair when there are many many more identical items listed and your is targeted.

Re: Listing violation

It is so not fair if your listings are removed and others are not, its a bit easier to take if ebay do a clean sweep of the lot.

My advice is to never call leggings tights on ebay, ever, the term tights is too close to stockings and an Oz cultural misunderstanding occurs.

Most Lorna Jane fans would know to search leggings.

Re: Listing violation

I received a (completely unfair, I tell you) policy violation on one of my long-standing listings yesterday, and while it was for a different matter, and my approach was rather more focussed on trying to get eBay to see that their policy was applied to me incorrectly, but this is what talking to them about such matters is like (with apologies to those for whom this is a rehashing of a rant ranted elsewhere):

Step One - Get the violation notice

Step Two - Decide it's been issued unfairly and that you're going to do something about it

Step Three - Plead your case to eBay

Step Four - Plead your case to eBay (who point blank refuse to understand logic)

Step Five - Try to understand eBay's logic

Step Six - Do something to relieve some of the tension

Step Seven - Repeat steps 1 through 6 until you're ready for step Eight

Step Eight - Acceptance

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to make fun of the situation otherwise the bewilderment would send me practically catatonic lol.

Just as a post-script, this is how I view the tone of eBay's responses to me when I tried to get them to understand it's impossible to advertise an off-eBay site when you don't have one:

Did you have this in the bag so to speak or did it take you awhile to come up with it? either way it's just brilliant

I posted it earlier today so had all the images uploaded already, but it didn't take long as they're all standard rage comic reaction faces, which I'm generally familiar with so I know what I'm looking for. Smiley LOL  (Not intending to comandeer your thread, OP, just consider it a nod of solidarity Smiley Very Happy ).
