So now Ebay are withholding money.... I have to send a $300 dolar item to a customer without receiving a dollar for it untill 21 days later. Does anyone in Ebay actually have a clue what they are doing? Do they have any business experience at all?
Would like to know if anyone can recommend any alternative selling venues - thinking it's about time to abandon ship here.

The way you're going with forum member, it might not be long until you get the required amount of feedback!!
Something like this? ๐

Yes!!! They are extremely CUUUUTE!!!! Do you need to join that site to buy from it? (I thought I'd better not mention the name in case they remove my message).

You've had more than 25 sales transactions with US buyers??;
Well, methinks that most old and new eBay sellers would have a hard time filling that criteria.

Thanks ๐ I think you need to sign up with them to buy, but from memory it is pretty straightforward, (they also charge the lowest seller fees I have found on any site;) )

Why not ?
I buy something, pay for it, the sellers posts it, they should leave feedback then.
I message sellers if feedback hasn't been left within a week of an item being posted.</I>"
I leave feedback at the end of the transaction, either when I know the item has been received, or after allowing sufficient time for any problems to arise. I am happy to leave feedback first. However, once you have encountered buyers returning a different item to that which they bought as an item being msrepresented or not as described, or bizarre forms of extortion, etc, you realise that the buyer's responsibilities do not always finish merely with payment. A scam artist or outright problematic buyer (and I am not referring to someone trying to resolve a legitimate issue) does not deserve positive feedback and a glowing reputation just because they paid. These problems would arise with much less than one percent of buyers, but that is why I leave feedback at the end of the ttransaction.

At least their "reserve" clause is somewhat clear cut

You know what really grinds my gears? (Not directing this comment towards you, just inspired by your post and the continual threads on the buying board about said same subject).
The fact that sellers have to continually explain / justify why they don't leave feedback upon receipt of payment, or at least before the buyer.
It's not up to buyers when their seller leaves feedback, if they do at all. If receiving feedback is a nice thing, ok I can get that, compliments are always kinda nice ๐ , if someone has an opinion about when they like to receive feedback, ok... but allowing that opinion to become what's expected of others, to the point where people feel ok about saying what amounts to "other people should conform to my opinion" doesn't seem ok to me. (Yes, I recognise the irony).
For not any particular rational and/or wholly reasonable reason, just in case it's of interest, messages from buyers asking me to leave them feedback aggravated me so much it is one of the main reasons I leave FB on receipt of payment, and it didn't matter how nicely it was worded, it always comes across to me as "I believe you are obligated to compliment me now----gimme" - it probably looks like I have conceded to expectations in some ways, but it's more about avoiding being highly annoyed with a buyer for what amounts to a very small reason. (I do occasionally get messages that were saved during checkout letting me know that the buyer expects me to leave FB immediately, and the funny thing is, not one single buyer that has made a big deal about their own FB actually bothered to leave me any ).
