One of my reliable selling accounts has not made a sale for NINE DAYS !!!!
This is unheard of so I phoned up ebay CS. Turns out there is a technical problem affecting some accounts at the moment. This results in no sales AT ALL. Ebay is aware of the problem and forwarded my account to their technichnical team. I asked about compensation and the CS rep also forwarded my account to a department to look at providing compensation once the account was restored.
So if you have been achieving consistent sales and they have suddenly stopped, it may be worth giving CS a call.

Okay, you're not too bad.
But THAT is wordsmithing to aspire to.
Believe it or not, I am actually capable of writing half-page, one sentence paragraphs in the Public Service dialect. Like many things when I ceased to be a public servant, I tried to leave that behind me. I think I succeeded in that instance.

Wish this site was like facebook & had a laughing face as well as a like button.
I enjoyed that.

Finally turned back on today. Twelve days with no sales, no questions etc. then today, everything is completely normal with expected sales, buyer enquiries etc. as if nothing had happened.

I think I know what happened. I recieved a message today apologising for another message that I never actually recieved. It appears the previous message was reffering to monies I supposedly owed ebay for a monthly account that was not paid. It seems that ebays accounting systems mucked up, showing I owed money when my account was in reality, fully payed up.
The interesting thing is it appears ebay really do turn the tap right off if you miss a monthly payment. I,m not sure how people who are struggling can repay ebay money they owe if they cant sell anything. Like so many things on ebay, it seems counter-intuative doesnt it.

Interesting Chamo, there was another thread on the boards about supposedly "unpaid" account fees that were in fact already paid, and eBay CS told one seller to ignore the email as it was a "known glitch"......................

No doubt eBay have offered you generous compensation for their mistake..!
on 22-08-2018 06:15 PM
Of course. That is eBay's modus operandi, to make mistakes and to humbly recompense the injured party, to offer a free trip to Venice plus spending money pus a Rolls Royce full of fine Belgian chocolate plus...
Oh, wait. I've wandered off into a daydream, haven't I? I've somehow mistaken "Dear valued seller, your call is important to us" with Venice/RollsRoyce/Chocolate... I don't know how I did that.
