Just to change things up a bit, thought I'd have a whine about..
NO DEAD 'ORSE LEFT ON THE SHELVES. WHAT!!! How dare the doomsdayers deprive me of this great Aussie tradition. I tried not to panic or show my shock, although my potty mouth has a mind of it's own and didn't disappoint.
I made my way to the freezers to at least secure the dog's eyes, but it was like I was in a nightmare, the freezer was empty!!!
What now? How will I cope? I sauntered out of the shop defeated. Next step, a whine on the forum. I feel sure I can blame Ebay for this, I do for everything else lol
Frantically searched for tomato sauce listings, ready to slander the price gougers BUT there were barely any listings. So who can I blame now? Please help. I'm barely holding it together. I feel casting blame will help my mental state

Dusty, you need to be more of a survivalist.
I've always bought tomato sauce in 2 litre bottles and refilled the smaller squeezie bottle.
No chance of running out here.

And the price of lettuce has gone through the roof, too many people must have figured out there is more than one use for the humble lettuce leaf.

Oh no, no muffins!! Why has your coffee routine been disrupted? Aside from the fridge not working to keep fresh milk cold, what am I missing?
As luck would have it, I hate milk but do use it in coffee, which I drink almost religiously
. I can drink it black, I don't really like it but it'll have to do for the next several days (maybe longer if non-essential business shut down in SA), or until I find a stop-gap solution. At least the ginger tea I've had sitting here for weeks is finally getting a look-in, so I guess I shouldn't complain
But I will anyway

Reminded me, I thought I'd get a bigger bottle and top up my squeezy bottle, leaving some left over. Keep in mind here I'm blonde, but there was none left over. The glass bottle must have been the same size lol The 2 litre bottles are great yes.
Today I eventually found one small bottle, low salt/low sugar! I ask you, who's thinking about health when downing a pie?

Do you not like the long life milk? The stuff they make today is really good, unlike the old UHT milk that was disgusting. I've been using tetra packs of skim milk for tears, my kids grew up with it, still use it. I like the Coles brand the best & the price at about $1. I don't think it has to be refrigerated once opened

I'll give it a try (if it hasn't been hoarded
)

I'm also a coffee addict. I start every day with Muzz Buzz and not just any Muzz Buzz. I drive to Yokine. They make awesome coffee and the staff are so nice. That's the first coffee for the day 😉

Yeah good luck. Harvey Fresh I think is quite good too, also Woolworths brand, but Coles is nicer. Trust me though, it tastes just like fresh milk. We use it on cereal and everything. My elderly parents have been using it since they retired. They're big tea drinkers and that's all they use. Bad luck about the fridge, damn.
My microwave needs replacing but I can't figure how to get it out because it's built in. Anyway, a few nights ago, cooking dinner for myself, my son and his mate, was cooking potatoes in the microwave. When it stopped and beeped, I opened the door, it then started up again, with the door open!! lmao it would stop when I closed the door and start when I opened it 😂
Turned the power off at the mains, works like a charm again 👍
