drop in sales

Has anyone noticed a dramatic drop in veiws and sales in the past 7 days?

I have noticed the veiws on my items have slowed and my sales have more than halved. This has happened suddenly.

I have also noticed my items are hard to find when I am doing a general search where as before I would find my items quite easy.

Re: drop in sales

Thankfully, were doing okay again. We've tweaked a few things and tidied up a bit. Now I think it's just a matter of getting some nnew and fresh listings up. I must say it was a bit scary though. I wish I understood and knew more of what is the truth behind it all.

I do hope it all picks up for everyone else. It's not a nice feeling.

Melina.

Haven't had a sales for 3 days and inquiries/offers for 2 days. Normally I get an offer/enquiry or sale every day.  I also added international shipping but that doesn't seem to have made any difference. Haven't got a lot of listings but I feel most of my clothes are priced appropriately to sell. Anyway I wish Ebay would say that they are turning off certain sellers so you could do other things with your time. Anyway see what happens today I am changing a few listings up with different photos, prices, etc.

Oh, another used clothing seller. EBay needs more of them.

Yep, sold nothing for more than a week and views barely moving. Came on this forum specifically to see if anyone else had gone dead.

Re: drop in sales

Dead as a dodo for me. Normally this time of year Vanilla powder runs out the door but this year its been using a zimmer frame. Even my website has slowed down. Things like whole nutmegs and cassia and cinnamon quills are just not moving.

Whilst my website is down a little, ebay has died.

Re: drop in sales

Just ticking along quietly and consistently. No Christmas rush, a busy day here and there foillowed by a couple of quiet days. Basically the same thing week in, week out. I mentioned on another thread recently that I ran my numbers on my stores a few days ago. The main featured store consistently sells to within half of one percent ( 0.5 % variation ) of average sales, month in, month out, so there is never anything to get excited or dissapointed about with that one.

The two smaller, basic stores seem to be less regulated and have had slightly better months recently with sales firm to good and slightly above average. All up things are positive and anytime I put some effort in with large numbers of new listings, I do see a spike in sales on the smaller stores, so it appears you can still be rewarded for effort on ebay.

Re: drop in sales

This time of year with the Xmas rush we would normally be sending out 25-30 packages per day.

This year we are having a good day if we send out 8 or so.

Something has happened.

Website and Etsy also very dead.

Re: drop in sales

We're doing fine. Would be much better if I could get some more listings up in a hurry. Sometimes other 'stuff' has to take precedence and interferes with sales.

We're happy and I honestly hope for other smiling faces here soon too.

Re: drop in sales

We have had freaky Friday (or whatever it's called) and Cyber Monday.

A lot of B&M stores are discounting heavily, both physically and through their websites, so it is to be expected that sales would slow.

Mine haven't, but I am in the same boat as chameleon.

Same here; it's got to the point where I can look at my monthly sales to date and accurately predict the future.

Maybe I should be setting up as a psychic?
