eBay's massive 15% off every item this Sunday 22/6

Looks like a very big promotion is coming up for eBay. 15% off (some select accounts will have 25%) off an eBay purchase upto a maximum discount of $100

Hopefully this is good news for both buyers and sellers

Sure but according to the T and C's they will also keep our user data safe and we all know how they turned out.

For some reason it started at midnight so all the items like giftcards etc are all sold. You would think that eBay could get this right so everyone had a chance but .....

Why?? I just purchased from 6 different sellers, all you have to do is buy using the same currency and add them to your cart and checkout. Enter the code before payment and enjoy the discount.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but how does one know if an item is on sale (- 15%) or does it apply to all items purchased/ending today during the sale period?

Does it apply to ONLY goods listed on ebay.au or anything that is viewable via ebay.au (ie I might have items on my watchlist being sold by overseas ebay sellers but I am accessing the items via my ebay/ebay.au)

Currently in ebay live chat (for what it is worth), trying to seek clarification.

Apparently it applies to all items on ebay.au site (not just handpicked), if items are viewable through/purchased via/logged in via ebay.au then they are valid (I had wondered about some of the overseas items on my watchlist...)

The $50 spend must be on a single item (can't combine several smaller items from one seller)

You can check the code applies before paying for the item so you can back out/cancel if necessary

I just purchased 7 of one item number (a total of $45.50) and another one item for $5.00 from the same seller – a total of $50.50. When in checkout there was a box to put a redemption code in.

I put in the code CBIGSUNDAY mentioned in by “t-shirt-au” in a previous post.

It then gave me a discount of $7.00 + (I can’t remember the exact amount).

I did this BEFORE 10am.

I did not see anything relating to the 15% off sale during the process nor did I know what the redemption code was. It was only that “t-shirts-au” was kind enough to mention the code.

I was going to buy the items anyway so I wasn’t too stressed about whether or not it was going to work.

It worked for me!

that's can't be right surely - no point getting the goats in to cut the grass if you can only buy one item all day.

Yep guys, i just bought something that is definitely not in the Handpicked list you can see and i applied the coupon code and got a saving of AU $35.82. 

Can be anything listed on ebay.com.au

Interesting. Given that 'stories' and experiences can often vary I am not surprised.

I haven't tried the sale yet, would be interested to know other's experiences though.
