Can anyone please explain to me and all eBayers here publicly why ebay will not reinstate negative feedback I wrote for a seller after admitting to me that they made an error in removing it. Customer service confirmed to me that the negative feedback I left did not violate ebay's feedback policy and they were wrong to remove it, yet they will still not reinstate it? This makes a complete mockery of the ebay feedback system. What is the point of sellers leaving legitimate negative feedback at all if ebay removes it because a seller didn't like it? Worse still, having admitted that they made an error in removing it, I'm fed the "our system doesn't allow us to reinstate it" line. Oh please! ebay is a tech platform. They can do anything with the system. If they can remove feedback manually, they can reinstate it manually. Having admitted that they made an error and shouldn't have removed the negative feedback as it didn't violate the feedback policy, the ONLY response is to correct the error and reinstate the feedback if ebay has any credibility here.
