It's a bit annoying..........actually pathethic....I used to be a 'seller', having a fantastic time, engaging my dying sister in an 'outside interest' to distract her from the chemo........selling assorted and sometimes magnificent stuff ( with excellent feedback ). Then came the 'extra fees'......unrealistic postage times ( even though the seller had posted same day).....and finally ...AN EXTRA CHARGE ON YOUR POSTAGE....???? HELLO......if they could track personal email contact, surely they could root out the sellers who were avoiding basic fees???????? There were ALWAYS the usual eBay 'stooges' that were like frontmen/women that denigrated anyone with an alternate view ( one in particular that I recall - living half her/his time in the UK and the other half in Aus). Many sellers announced the fact that they were exiting the arena...and were bagged..relentlessly. I chose to just slip away......happy to buy ( so far)...but also much happier to sell anything out of the spare room/shed...in our local area, on another platform. They, eBay, keep sending me emails.........."We miss you" ..."Your buyers miss you"......well, sorry.....as soon as you started descriminating against the 'backyard/ amateur/down-to-earth/ therapeutic sellers' to bulk up your cheap MULTI PROFIT players from China down ( where your stringent feedback rules don't even register on their feedback account). eBay SUCKS

"Mods saying to not use vulgar was directed at OP,and OP says it's not him/her"
Except that it was, which is why the post was edited by the mod...

Vexed threads about nothing like this are symbolic of a dying community vibe to Ebay.
Why is it so? Probably because communicating (ebeven badly or impolitely) / buying online now is so everyday for most people now it is no longer their own little club/community/clique that it used to be when Ebay was in the realm of collectors and swap meets.
Ebay has therefore hard to adapt to the hard nose business tactics of volume.
Anyone remember the days of "pinks" (ebay staff) who interjected responses, and even as far back as simon, an actual aus rep who conducted Q & A and even chased up individual problems. Now it is all just anonymous **bleep** in the wind, with no one really caring, and unfortunatel only Ebays restrictive policies keeping many of the sellers in line. As usual with any generic rules what restrains some will trample on others
The culture has changed

The US boards have an ebay rep that does weekly Q & A.
Don't know why we can't.

I agree stawka and maybe all the problems/mistakes could easily be resolved because someone would actually listen
to what you and I had to say instead of going by what they have written in front of them.
It's funny how we have to go through certain stages to make sure we're not robots whilst ebay are robots.

Spoileralmost as bad as waiting for paint to dry!
Not as bad as watching weeds grow 10x faster than anything else on the property..............................

Hmmm, them I can eat the Jolly Jumbuck when it's finished the weeds, but hasn't yet destroyed the paddock and turned it into a dust bowl.........................

yes, I am okay and thanks for asking. Unlike others up here, I got through our storms last week unscathed, but I don't like to crow about that.
I have had some mozzies and other pests bothering me in recent days, but pests are just a nuisance and of no great significance. I find that if they are too much of a pest they usually get banished and don't hang around to bother me. Ignoring them sometimes works, but some are persistent and just need a good swat to be gone. January can be bad for pests, but appropriate precautions can keep them away i.e. knowing where they breed and disrupting their home base (for mozzies that is).
I too dislike the fvf on postage.
