Sign in to eBay, select menu option "Account Settings", then "Personal Information", scroll down to "Checkout saved payment methods" and click on "remove" on the far right of the page.

Go in to Paypal.
Click on the settings tab ( top right corner )
Cilck on Security ( Top middle )
Click on - Permissions you've given ( Bottom of page )
Delete who you want to.

Your 1st post here has been so helpful - NOT.

Padi knows more about the workings here than most.  If you cannot add anything of substance, dont bother dragging up things.

I thought that was pretty informative actually. It may not be seen by whoever made the original post but could be useful to others. I was just browsing this old thread and wondering myself if I should turn off the auto paypal thing on ebay.

That only works for eBay.

It is better to do it in Paypal. That way ALL purchases are covered. Unless you only ever buy through eBay

Thank you so much. This was exactly what I needed. Ebay should link to the explanation of how this is managed by paypal. not many people would understand this nor find it easy to figure out what to change in paypal.

Can't believe all the snarky comments in the rest of this thread.

thanks

I am a professional working in IT and it took me three very angry days to figure this out after accidentally pressing yes to the silly thing. Easy to opt in, impossible to opt out.

I'm not in IT or a professional but it ceratinly didn't take me 3 days to work out how to opt out of auto sign-in.

By the way, were you aware that using stock photos is against eBay's photo policies ???
